Call of Duty 4 official thread

Sweet, they are patching the PS3 version for better party load times and stuff. ^^
 
Represented DBAG in a free for all match, final score for me was 30-6. Heard on the headset "Only reason that dude has so little deaths is cause he was hiding the entire match"

There's a difference between hiding, and not being seen :D
 
Ele dont worry you are still going to meet some morons lol. I believe it was Raidrx, Skaw and myself. Maybe Makelith was there also i dont remember. Anyways we had just ripped some team in whatever the match is called with the 1 territory that moves. We won 250-0. The dudes in the menu said we only won because we used so many grenades............................. OMFG LMAO. We harrassed him till he left. Saying things like "Yo Raidr you are only getting kills like that because you use bullets man" or "Be a real man and knife the whole match then see your kills" just to be assholes. Man it was very fun hehe.
 
Yeah man, only noob ass bitches use tactics and shoot people. Another good one, some dude called us a bunch of noobs because he had 1 more kill than me and a few more than i think osiris and skaw. It was in headquarters and we beat them like 200-25 or some shit. Its like dude, you do realize its easier to get more kills when youre loosing because you can respawn when you die and kill again whereas you have to wait if you have it capped.
 
People who whine about camping are just horrible. Hell, -real- campers are the easiest targets to get points off of. There is no way you can go 30-6 from just camping. Sure you hold an area down from time to time but isn't that the smart way to play? I think a lot of these people will go back to playin' Halo 3 after the new content hits.

I joined a match late yesterday before my 360 kicked the bucket. It was a match on Bloc and my team was gettin' ownd because they would just sit in a spot while half of the other team flanked them. When I joined in I started wagein' a one man war against the flank and got my team the win. After the match the whole other team left after tossin' an onslaught of "camper" remarks at me. All I did was head forward into their flank and push them back in circles. They just sucked at anything other than "lulz her iz noobman chargeeee!". Ended up 15-1. So yeah, it's just bad players doin' the only thing they can to "get back at the man".

That game was totally bomb, hahaha. Remember that match where it was all of us against that one guy, because his whole team disconnected, and we just ran around and knifed him like 15+ times? Dabears? or something like that, haha.

LMAO Yes, win. Hed respawn and BAM 4 dudes on him shanking his ass lol. He didn't know what the hell was going on.
 
Anyone else do the 1v1 yet? Me and a bud did this to make a movie out of it. We went "Enemy at the Gates" style and took sniper rifles and hunted each other out and we recorded the whole thing. Right now were are recording other stuff to hopefully make our own version of the movie.
 
I did 1 on 1, but I owned the guy like 7 to 0 and I felt kind of bad. I was trying to be encouraging but what can ya say? I was taking him down even when I was left with nothing but a handgun. I'd rather play someone my own skill level and let him play someone he can beat.
 
The best is when you are defending in Search and Destroy and the other team says you won because you were camping. Isn't the idea to protect where the other team is going to drop the bomb off at.
 
Have you ever played halo online? Its also a tradition that you get the most racist 12 year old on the planet on your team too.

Every once in awhile you get people that actually play for fun.
 
I played Halo 3 online for 2 games. Everyone was just like, "man this game is awesome" or "man I don't know how to play, how do I shoot?" Hell I didn't know how to shoot either but I still kicked some ass somehow.
 
With the larger crowd comes the bigger idiot base. We get every type of person.
 
Mostly THE MUCH LARGER crowd is why. And I encountered more shit talking in resistance than i have in call of duty 4, but you still get the occasional dumb ass who thinks hes god and needs some reason as to why he just lost 10-40 (kills and deaths).

I just wanted to add I really do hate fucking campers. They piss me off to no end. And no i'm not talking about when the other team camps, it makes them easy to own, i'm talking about when my own teammate camp and don't do shit. I had a domination on overgrown today that i lost about 200-98 because i was the only one not sitting in one spot. I was snipping for most of the game to and had all 4 or 5 of our flag captures. The sad thing is the other people had shit for kills too, i was like 48 and 20 and the next best was like 18-23 or something. I tell ya.

Also had a game of 21-0 today. Played on strike and started sniping with the M4031 or w/e it is, then picked up some dudes scorpion and ended up just covering A. No deaths and the most kills in the room ftw.
 
I havnt really read any of this thread, cause i've never been a cod fan. But I bought these game a few days ago, and it is fucking rape. (still on the second mission in single player lawl, online ftw)
 
Don't really see how a larger crowd affects anything. You play with a random 16 people from population versus A 16 random people from population B. Being as both populations are over 16, both can represent the larger population.

Of course from my own perspective, I haven't run into assholes on either console, though the games I've played over live = 2. Of course on Warhawk this one dumbass kept trying to teamkill me. But the damn team damage was set to 0. He was just annoying.

It effects everything. Larger pool to pick from initially give you more opportunities to be paired with a more range of defected people. It's like your chances in winning a door prize from a raffle drawing. The less tickets in the barrel the better your chances to win are. As the barrel fills up your chances slim down and down. Same thing here.
 
That doesn't make any sense at all. You're acting as if a larger install base actually puts more people in an individual game. It's not like on the PSN there's as many games they're all just half full. There's just less games, all full of people. It's an identical experience except for PSN matchmaking may take 10 seconds to secure a game instead of 5.

More people here give you advantages and disadvantages. The system has more people to throw into a match (which is set at 16 players). The more people you have the more -types- of people you have thus betterin' your chance at getting any -type- of person whether they be good or bad.

It's really quite simple.
