Call of Duty 4 official thread

Raidrx i think it was skaw or you that said maybe we just are that good. I do believe it. Every match not only do we dominate kills. We score, which aklways is not due to kills. It is playing the match the proper way.
 
Because running around with your playstation name set as xxxxxxGayBoyxxxxxx wouldn't result the same.

You know whats funny? The same thing happened with this game and Halo 3 for me that happened with Battlefield 2 and Halo 2 on the old Xbox..

I played the -shit- out of Halo 2 and thought it was the greatest game ever.... until I played Battlefield 2 when it came out on the Xbox.. and got like, real tanks and real aircraft, and even stupid flatbed trucks. But C4 and silenced weapons, no shields? You could fall for ten feet and die. Realistic to a degree. Trumped Halo 2 for me..

This game just blows everything out of the water in my eyes. I sold Halo 3 for this, without a second thought. $32 cash trade in cant be beat. I got bored with slow halo 3 anyway.. matches took too long to find, I could only stomach a few battles anyway. This game though, I can sit there and play for hours at a time, just trying to max out as many challenges as possible. My room mate and I switch off, he does the rifles and sniper rifles, I did the shotguns and SMGs, we split up the LMGs and get whatever other challenges we can done. And we're both pretty good, he's better than I am, but i've broke 32 kills a few times. He usually gets upwards of 25 or so kills per match though, bastard. I hate his guts. Anyway.

The realism plays a big factor to this games appeal. I have a friend who just recently came home from Iraq and he said the game makes him feel a little uneasy, as its "a little close to home". Holy shit, i'm not joining any armed forces branch or going to Iraq, but I can play this game and get a tiny taste of that horrendous action? Thats a pretty good wartime simulation.

The Level Up thing is nothing new, but presented nicely in a manner anyone can understand. We got to 55 and did prestige, and we're at about 48 right now, I think. Maybe 49, cant remember. I didnt read over the thread much, sorry, but if you get 55 again, and take prestige again, does it net you any other symbolic stature? or should we just forgo prestige a second time around and max out the challenges?

I digress. This is a badass game. I'm gonna go play -right now-. Adieu.
 
1st pretige is the cannon ball, 2nd is green dot thing and 3rd looks like a resident evil umbrella sign. I dunno more.
 
Had some fun hardcore matches with osyris, strid, and ivolt. Wish I could've stayed longer but damn we did great in some matches

By the way the first prestige is the bird, one most people have, the 2nd is the cannon ball which I am a glutton for punishment am on now.
 
I finally decided yesterday mornin' to swap over to Prestige Mode and every step of the way I've been callin' myself a retard. Thankfully I've been levelin' up pretty fast but I dunno if I could do it to myself again.
 
I missed playing with you guys. After ~2weeks of not playing an online game because of AC/ME it was nice to get back in to the swing of things. DBAG!
 
I just want to be able to say I completely finished Prestige mode. Once that is done I will work on getting every golden weapon. Once you get to level 5 the rest is pretty simple. The 5 default classes is the only thing that sucks.
 
Yeah, ive been playing ME pretty much non stop since i picked it up. I was gonna hop on today, but i have to head to work here in a bit. I don't have school tomorrow though so ill be on later tonight and tomorrow during the day. I need to bring the pain train back on those CoD4 noobs. Next stop domination station WOO WOO.

No, lol. Oh hell no. The level of incompetence at the Gamestop closest to my house is through the roof. I work at Gamecrazy. A much more laid back and all around better store.
 
Ok, good lol I used to be SM of a GameStop, and I do not wish that torture upon anyone else. And Gamecrazy is nice, there used to be one here, but it died out because there were 4 GameStop/EB within a 10 mile radius of it.
 
We just got second prestige, at about level 15 now. It's a breeze the third time around lmfao.
