You can sit and do stuff and assume you know what you're doing and still be wrong. I assumed I knew what I was doing when I started campaign but I honestly didn't read up about it. I knew I died, reraised, nuked a little, died, reraised, cured a little and got points. I saw other people curing and raising people as well and no one complaining, so I followed suit.
A few hours doesn't necessarily make me and expert and say that I knew exactly what was right or not. I wouldn't assume that they knew what they were doing precisely especially considering the new-ness of the event itself. I wouldn't compare it to someone intentionally curing someone synthing cursed dalmaticas. That has been known for years that it can really screw over the crafter. Curing someone in a battle-field event or location doesn't quite equate to that.
If Skaw made a visible effort to tell the guy not to cure, and included that in his OP, then the flame would be more valid. Regardless if it wasted 10 seconds for Skaw or not, its not really that big of a deal. He was capping off your HP, I'm sorry that it wasted 10 seconds for you. Really don't think he meant to offend you. I'd actually be glad to see mages willing to cure for battlefield events. Mountain out of molehill.
