FYI, the simple and general version of how to skillup is this:
- A mob can skill you up to whatever number you capped at, when you were the level the mob is.
(A corollary of this is that in order to skill up to *cap*, you need an Even Match or stronger mob. But you can skillup to various points below cap - say, if you're way behind on your skill - by starting with wimpy TWs, moving on to stronger TWs, eventually to EPs, then DCs, and finally to EM+ to cap.)
And yes, that does mean that the same mob will cap different skills at different numbers depending on how good you are with the weapon. Thus if you took, say, a level 60 Kuftal Robber Crab (yes, I'm aware they go up to 63) and had a 60+ WAR and a 60+ BST both skilling up sword on it (WAR has B, BST has E), then the WAR would be able to skillup to 196 and the BST would be able to skillup to 171.
Point being that you can't just say that X mob can take you to Y skill, because the exact skill number depends on how good you are with the skill. A mob that can take an A+ weapon to 240 may not even be able to take a D weapon to 200, so you can't just go "yeah, that mob can take you to 240 skill" or anything.
It's good to know how it works so you can do a bit of simple arithmetic to pick out what mob levels you need to target, then do a bit of mob research to find mobs of those levels that are relatively safe to fight. (Not particularly dangerous, and not in an aggro/link prone environment.)
