This bitch has been running the press circuit since her woeful Miss USA appearance... and it's a disgrace. I'm sure most people are up to speed on what happened, but for those who aren't, here's a quick summary:



The truth is, she can say and think whatever she wants. Freedom of speech rah rah. Her answer was a fucking mess though. "Opposite Marriage"? Wtf? I think that her inability to form a cogent sentence cost her the Miss USA crown, not the opinion she attempted to express.

Before I progress any further I just want to pre-empt any response I may get concerning Perez Hilton. He is media-hungry, juvenile and quite frankly I see him as a downright shameful representative for gay rights in any public arena. This thread is as much about his stupidity. It pains me greatly to agree with Perez Hilton, but in this case I do: Prejean is a dumb bitch. If I am to be called intolerant for not tolerating her intolerance, then so be it.

Anyway, after her response in the pageant, Hilton blogged about the ordeal and called her the dreaded B-word. He later apologised only to change his mind in an interview with MSNBC where he said the C-word was more appropriate. Clearly all this controversy is doing wonders for his site and I am sure that he knows this. Asshole.

Some from the right have come to Prejean's defence, ironically calling Hilton intolerant. Meanwhile she has been picked up as (un)official spokes-whore for the National Organization for Marriage and has been doing some rather uninspiring interviews about how she is a poor simple girl with traditional views and has been made a victim of an unfair question.

I'm not certain what my stance is on her pageant funded hooters. I guess God says no to gay love, but is totally down with modifying the body he created for you or objectifying yourself by sauntering across a stage practically nude with your fake boobs hanging out? Whatever. I agree with MAH BOO Andy - it's not relevant. She can convert entirely to silicon for all I care, maybe it will improve her elocution.

As has been pointed out elsewhere, it's not so much what she said but how she mangled it when she said it. Miss North Carolina answered the question in a way that didn't display ignorance on the issue of gay marriage:

“The beautiful thing about America is that we have the right to choose, we have the right to choose what partner we want to love, commit and spend the rest of our lives with. I think that all couples should be able to be recognized legally, and they should be able to enter into a union. Whether or not it should be defined as marriage, I don’t know, I’ll leave that up to the politicians.”

I wouldn't be too quick to point fingers at Perez Hilton and give him all the blame, Tom. He's an attention whore, but he didn't make her into a martyr. It was the religious whackos screaming about some imagined violation of her First Amendment rights who were holding her down and grabbing for the hammer and nails.

The fact that she is getting this much coverage and able to keep the attention for this long tells me that she will very likely have a chance at becoming a Fox News Tv Host after her current reign of Miss California is over but only time will tell... The only thing that i can say is from a marketing perspective she is doing a great job because already no one even knows who won the pageant but they can tell you that the dumb bitch from California came in second.

As a bonus she gets to do this by simply saying her own opinion without any lying involved. if she was going to not say what she thought she'd have lied about it DURING the pageant and got the cheesy crown or whatever the prize is.
