Yeah you are because clearly she didn't end up in a beauty pageant with a "ghastly" face. So show me a face that's not "ghastly" compared to hers and back up your not debatable statement. Otherwise your just blowing smoke.

At this point, I'm having difficulty seeing where you think anyone in this thread is trying to change her mind about same-sex marriage. The thing is she would be better off educating herself about the cause she's taken up. No one ever said that, by educating herself about it, she will suddenly agree that same-sex marriage is awesome, that learning about it would necessarily change her mind. But she'd at least understand what common terms used in the argument for or against it mean.

So yeah. I read what you said. I understood it. You having a friend that is a lesbian has nothing to do with Carrie Prejean's knowledge about a topic she's decided to make herself a postergirl for, nor do your personal feelings about whether same-sex marriage is right or wrong.

You would think that being that gay marriage is a current event in the state of California that she would have had a prepared statement in case a question came up during the Miss USA pageant. Yeah she is entitled to her own opinion and it's great that she was honest but she should have worded it better. I'm not a big fan of Perez either. He's just a hateful person that wants to out everyone in Hollywood whether they're ready to or not. No one would have really cared about her in a couple of weeks if she didn't get asked that question.

It would have been more than acceptable had she admitted her lack of knowledge on the subject and then stated her personal beliefs. Kept it short and sweet but honest, not too many people would have chastised her for it then.

You're right about people having forgotten about her, probably as quickly as within a few days even. Perez IS a shit disturber and those contestants should be more prepared knowing a jack ass like him is on the panel.

You are right. She should have said that she didn't know much about it instead of just thinking out loud like she was. You can tell as she was answering the question that it blew her mind. I think that it was the first time that I heard "opposite marriage" ever.
