Hell, because they don't have to leave their conference to prove anything, unlike teams in other conferences. It may only be an opinion that the SEC is the hardest conference to win out of, but that's the case with anything sports wise really. However, despite it bein' an opinion you don't hear it from EPSN or any sports news source year AFTER year AFTER year because it's a dismissible or a highly incorrect opinion. I thought Anglis was crazy to say people were in denial but I guess he was right.
Let's have some more fun:
USC's 2008 schedule (a "top dawg" team to the r-tards):
8-30-08 Virginia (weak)
9-13-08 Ohio State (weak this year and obviously last year, out of conference, lulz)
9-25-08 Oregon State (weak)
10-4-08 Oregon (ehh, maybe, maybe not but only in their conference)
10-11-08 Arizona State (weak)
10-18-08 Washington State (weak)
10-25-08 Arizona (weak)
11-1-08 Washington (weak)
11-8-08 California (maybe conference wise)
11-15-08 Stanford (weak)
11-29-08 Notre Dame (weak)
12-6-08 UCLA (weeeeeak 59-0 loss to BYU, ouch)
Auburn's 2008 schedule (a middle of the road team)
08/30/08 vs. Louisiana-Monroe (weak)
09/06/08 vs. Southern Miss (15 straight winning seasons, better then Ole Miss and Miss state

)
09/13/08 at Mississippi State (great defense)
09/20/08 vs. LSU (strong)
09/27/08 vs. Tennessee (decent/can still upset easily)
10/04/08 at Vanderbilt (decent/thorn)
10/11/08 vs. Arkansas (weak/decent but they'll force close games eventually, no doubt.)
10/23/08 at West Virginia (so-so, lost to ECU, but still competitve)
11/01/08 at Mississippi (weak/decent, getting better)
11/08/08 vs. Tennessee-Martin (HC) (weak)
11/15/08 vs. Georgia (Strong)
11/29/08 at Alabama (Strong, two years having the top recruiting class)
My decisions of a teams density is not solely based on this year alone, though in some cases, i.e. Arkansas, Tennessee, and Ohio State it is.
Even if I don't label the teams with my opinions, it's clear who has the toughest schedule to anyone with an ounce of sports intelligence to them.
Like Anglis, the next best schedule to the SEC schedule is the Big 12 schedule in which, like he said, Mizzou never plays Oklahoma, lawlz. He's also right about Texas, extremely overrated EXACTLY like Ohio State was. The Big 12 also don't have the reputation for beatin' themselves up either.
Show me a tougher schedule not in the SEC, it's simply not possible.
