I never said there was a connection, NYC is the best damn target in the country next to DC, I am saying Iraq and Saddam Hussien posed a credibale, at the time, threat. He may have been bluffing about his programs to scare his neighbors, he may have it all burried in Syria (I called that one in the January before we atacked, had a feeling there would be nothing there). I am saying when a nuke goes off in the USA it will probaly be near me (I live near NYC and would probaly be dead from the fallout)

When did Saddam ever say after Desert Storm he had WMD? As I recall it he sent tons of documents to the UN to try and prove he had been complaining with the UN resolutions and we keep saying it wasn’t good enough.

The moment North Korea started developing nukes again we knew about it, the CIA can sneak in and out of Afghanistan, we can ease drop on any communication system and most importantly we can count the dots on a golf ball from space. How come there was an intelligence vacuum when it came to Iraq? Then even if he had been developing a WMD he needed a weapon system that could attack the continental US and there wasn’t even a hint that he was attempting to develop such a system.

He could have sold it to terrorists? Doubtful, Iraq has no history of selling weapons technology. North Korea is a far greater threat for that. As well most well know terrorist groups consider Saddam a trader to the Islamic religion. The only reasons outside terrorists are fighting in Iraq right now is because they see a chance kill Americans, and they are hoping to take control and make another Afghanistan, not because they supported Saddam. Iraq is a very important chunk of land in the Islamic religion.

I lived with the same threat you do in NYC when I lived at Fort Bragg. It is a very real threat that you are on a first strike list with any nuclear power country, but that should not be a surprise to any one living in NY or living near any military target.

In reference to the bolded part, this is all the more reason why we should stay until the new leadership stabalizes a bit.

Secondly, I dont think we were ever truly worried about a big-bad delivery system. We were more worried about him using it on his neighbors or using it in conjunction with "backpack" bombs. Be careful referencing N.Korea, I fear they may be next.

Who knows maybe they could be hidden in my backyard, who knows?

The biggest threat of WMD in the US, is from our own biological weapons that are bieng dismantled/ditched. My dad works for an environmental clean up business (environmental engineer basically) that helps cleans up places like Umatilla and Rocky Flats. There are some pretty scary stories including the population of the Pittsburgh almost being wiped out. Also dirty bombs maybe. Saddam Husseain never did nor in the forseeable future have long range nuclear cpability, the biggest threat of him striking anything with nukes would have been Israel, assuming he got a hold on nukes. N. Korea is a bigger threat of nuclear action against the US which is still slim to none.

Yeah I saw him running around Kuftal, name is "xCommanderchiefx"

I grew up in an all Republican family, it is all I have ever known so yes I am biased. My grandfather was a Republican state senator for 20+ years and my uncle is now a member of the Indiana House of Represenatives. All of my other uncles in some way have been heavily involved with Indiana's governement. I have always voted Republican not only because of my upbringing but I like what MY perception is of what the party stands for.

The most important thing I think I have always been taught is that if you don't vote your opinion does not matter. This is why I always found it ironic that these fucking crackhead ghetto ass people or young punk kids were always the first to bitch about the country (99% bitching about Republicans or Bush) but they would never vote.

So yea, I guess my point is the Bush and Republican haters of the country democratic or not are usually poor and whiny, and we all know poor people aren't real people anyways.

Their are a bunch of whiny punk ass people that don't vote, I doubt that is the large majority of the people who are Democratic though.

Poor people aren't real people. Well discursively I could kill them and it wouldn't matter then. I'm no spokeperson for the poor (as i said I'm economically more libertarian) but c'mon vang. If you are being sarcastic than so ami.

Vang doesn’t sugar coat gimpy players, and he sure doesn’t sugar coat what the Republican Party stands for.

What's that? Success through hard work and perseverance? It is funny how such socially interactive fantasy world can mirror the real world as well as the personality of the characters and the people that control them in some ways.

No the large majority of anti republicans (which most are democratic) are like this. Watch MTV once in awhile and all the Democrat jargon and how "cool" and " Kerry is. Come on man, be real for a minute. Thats like saying "I doubt more Jp players hate Na than Na hates Jp players. It's probably about even." Sure you could say "Vang you don't have stats, so i doubt it" but it's common fucking sense man you know it and I know it.

I'm anti-Bush, but I'm not old enough to vote, if I could have I would have. I am being real I know alot of people who were 18 and that voted in the last election, Bush and Kerry supporters. Most people are not "mtv" people, so I try not to judge the political climate based on what mtv people say, in fact I don't rely on mtv for any sort of thing. I know alot of liberals that don't know what they are talking about and alot of conservatives that are the same way.

I don't have stats although the burden of such proof would be yours.

Burden of proof, burden of proof....blah, what ever happened to common sense?

So you have never voted?

Ask some people in the ghetto, ask the pot heads at school who would represent them and their style of living (or lack thereof for these parasites) better if they were forced to vote? Republican or Democrat? I think we all know the answer.

These are the same people that take my hard earned dollar and turn it into 67 cents because they need "Assistance" in living because none of these skanks can keep their fucking legs closed or their baby daddys can keep a fucking job for more than a month and I have to make up for it.

Go ahead, young buck, ask them what party best represents their values. 8)

Republicans do not believe in Success through hard work and Perseverance (That is nothing more than Spin), they believe in power and control. They believe in if you disagree with them, you are a sub human who should either be a slave or killed. The one thing I give them is they at least stick to there beliefs, where the democrats change the story depending on who they are talking too.

Pascal my friend, that's a tad harsh dont you think? You paint republicans as the next coming of the Nazi party. If anything, the general philosophy is not power and control, it actually less government. Less government regulation, taxes, and intervention. It is the democrats who want the goverment to have a finger in every aspect of society.

I've said already vang, as far as the economy I'm libertarian, a movement started by Ayn Rand (I do have some disagreements none the less) do you know what that is. Its pretty much your money your business. I think social security is outdated and needs to be scrapped, you think the poor would like me? No way. I know plenty of conservative pot heads, and liberal ones of course. The democratic agenda with the economy goes for big social programs which I believe are bound to fail. If anything the modern Republican party is moving in a direction of big government as well.

But who gives a shit, they are poor the democrats represent their values, they vote for them. Thats ddemocracy. Much like the rich want to keep their money, they value their money, thats what they are going to vote on. Democracy, you know what that is right. Your logic is the same on the both sides, the warrant is the same the only thing that is different is the value systems. Objectively the concept of value is the same, subjectively it is different. We could argue about the differences between the value systems and why one is better than the other on the subjective level if you'd like, but I tend to agree with the position dealing with the poor. Many adults become dependent on the system in place, so it doesnt help.

You are preaching to the choir with me on that issue.

There it is from the young buck.

My problem with Republicans domestically btw is that they are not fiscally responsible anymore, big projects need money. At least Democrats have the sense to pay for the programs they start.

Internationally, well i have many posts on that so far so read those.

That was overly harsh and I do apologize, I do not feel that way about all Republicans only the far right elite conservatives, because that is how they treat people. Bush to me isn’t as far right as some of the others, but he is still to far right for me. Ann Coulter is a good example.

Funny, I seem to recall that Defense of Marriage joke being a Republican notion.

Like Matt, I'm more Libertarian on most issues.

I can definitely agree with that. Hell extreme-anything is usually bad. I myself sit closer to the middle. I usually tend to lean a little more towards the republican side more times than not.

Yeah, it's people like Ann Coulter and Michael Moore who do the parties they're affiliated with the greatest disservice. I'm a libertarian, so I tend to tune out the bickering between Republicans and Democrats because I think they're both equally wrong and oftentimes interchangeable.
