picked this up yesterday after work and i've got to say its amazing

the graphics for a psp game are phenominal, the cut scenes look like the graphics from advent children and the gameplay graphics are like kingdom hearts

the battle system is a hybrid of kingdom hearts and classic final fantasy VII

there's a new system that's called the DMW (Digital Mind Wave) its a roullet system that you lvl up spells abilities and even your character on and gives you buffs and controls your limit breaks which is nice new addition

all in all i love this so far

I'm tired of all these awesome games coming out exclusively for handhelds - Chains of Rpomithia, Crisis Core - I don't play handheld's cause I hate the stupid fucking small screen.

Wait... wut? *blinks* Did you have a smoke out before you posted this? I'm sure it's a simple mistake but it hurts my brain.

Playing it right now also. The story is ok, but seems to lack a bit of depth, nonetheless it's all interesting.

The slot machine kicks in way too often when I'm fighting, haha. And the limit breaks get a tad annoying.

Also, missions ..... kill kill kill kill kill kill . . . it's tedious.

Pretty game though.

lawl, he meant Chains of Olympus

But yeah, must...ask for a psp for my bday in 2 months.

I have heard that the Story is epic but the gameplay is very repetative

just like all FFs? :D lol... and I enjoy it, can get repetitive but still a really fun game and story is fine :P

cause pull, attack, provoke, weaponskill isnt repeatative  silly southerner :)

but yea, i love the cutscenes the one where genesis, sephiroth, and angeal where in the training room was amazing

hmm, I might have to pick up a PSP for this game...

It is definately worth getting a PSP for this game.

I started playing it soon after it came out in Japan and I loved it. Words do this game no justice, you have to play the epic to understand the epicness of how epic this epic game is.

(I really overused the word epic didn't I? ^^; )

Though my only upset about Crisis Core in English is the voice acting, sometimes it can be epic (Genesis vs Sephiroth vs Angeal dubbing was perfect imo) while other times, its just wrong (Aerith.... WHY DIDN'T THEY KEEP THE KH1 VOICE ACTOR!!! THAT ONE WAS GREAT!!!)

All usual dubbing rants aside, even though I have yet to import CC (Personally I am actually gonna be glad to wait for an EU release due to the special edition they are doing) I'll still get it.

it's worth getting a PSP for FAR more than this game :P hell, haxorz your PSP and your PSP > all handhelds together D: and NES, SNES, N64, PS1, Genesis :P hehe

Well, it's a portable game. I think it's got a lot of smaller missions designed to keep you occupied for a few minutes on the bus more than for hours-long play sessions.

I finally got to spend some quality time with it during my lunch break today and got through the opening mission, met Yuffie and defeated Ifrit. I think I'm going to like this game a lot.

Yeah I love it, I gotta advance the story after that point still, but I'm in love with missions, although the very hard ones are a pain, there's still a lot of other ones to do.
Can't wait til I play through hard mode on new game+.

the ones I have are the remnants of Wutei or something and the other one is Zack's Materia Hunting thing.. wherever it is.. the one where I seem to be fighting imps that cast death on me and pwn me :(

Battles get so annoying sometimes I just stick to the "side" of the path to not get into encounters on some missions. This might hinder my level but meh I'll sort it out when that time comes. (during missions only).

And although I'm still relatively weak, Tonberries have way too much HP.

And apart from Chain Slash, all other limit breaks get annoying. I'm sick of hearing "prove your honour to me" "i'm trying i'm trying" already haha. "Here we go. Go go GO!" is somewhat bearable.

Yeah, the limit break dubbing kinda sucks. While playing the Japanese version, I absolutely loved hearing the Tseng limit break when Zack said "Gambare ute ute!" Which translated means "I'm Trying, fire fire!" or "I'm doing my best, fire fire!" (I'm just guessing, I don't know Japanese yet).

Still, I have yet to play this game in English, so I'm gonna hold any major criticisms till I actually play it, and I guess it'll be mostly about the dubbing.

What I found Ironic though, was that the Japanese game included English instructions!

I'll still prefer the Japanese game instead of the English translation, but thats just my opinion.
