Dancer subs?

Since I think he's the only one to attempt a melee solo (it's only a matter of time before a Soboro SAM/DNC tries it out), he was probably playing it on the safe side with meds and whatnot. Now that he knows it's possible, I'm sure he'll be thinking of ways to do it with little to no meds.

looks pretty funny all sped up and stuff but dont think he could have done it without meds
and definitely not the first melee to solo. There was a PLD (Miyuu?) who had a solo ODS video up on stage6 (unfortunately stage6 doesnt exist anymore) since april. But she had excalibur aegis ares etc which was kinda crazy
 
I saw that video, he really gained nothing by soloing that. Usually its YOYD anyways, I mean yes its to show he CAN do it. But He's better off showing us he can solo Despot or something that could be worth soloing, ODS is not one of these things. that one rdm that has those crazy soloing videos, that's impressive.. I wouldn't even be impressed if a lv 1 job soloed ODS.

You're not in any way impressed? Thats a pretty bold statement. I don't think he was looking to "gain" anything from it, but its just something cool to do and show other people (like the ZM8 solo video by Oliveman posted here not too long ago).

As for Genome, his site is awesome for any MNK or aspiring MNK. Alot of his tests with subjobs and stuff are pretty cool, and he has a very good gear listing as well.
 
Yes it does show the power of /dnc and that he does have skills. I'm just saying if you're gonna solo something, solo something that adds to your benefit. you will always get all your drops from ODS. Impressive maybe, useful? not at all. I didn't see his drops but I'm sure he lost more gil actually doing that than he gained. ODS is horrible on drop rates.

And like I said, I highly doubt he was going for drops. The guy has pretty much everything you could want in the game, he probably wasn't banking on that 500k Serket. I believe you are missing the whole point of the video. And if you aren't impressed by the skill involved, I'd like to see you do it.

The difference there is I'm broke so I would be going for drops XD. Yeah he can do it and good for him. But usually the point of soloing something is for a bigger personal benefit, that is my point. And if he takes pride as his personal benefit from doing ODS solo, then I'm glad he did it. I am not disrespecting him, if that's what he wanted to do was just to do it ok. But I'm personally not impressed, that is all, and yes he is a very good mnk, his skill and gear are great- no questions there.
 
It was a fun video to watch. However, I noticed all the timers in the left side of the screen. As far as I'm concerned, if you did it with plug-ins you didn't really do it. If you can do it without the plug-ins, then delete them.
 
i would not use my joyeuse on a dancer when dancer gets D rating on a sword. 210 @ lv 75? -_-;

/sam is not bad because of store TP + meditate

/nin is good because of 15% att speed reduction on dual-wield. also if you have a good off hand weapon that gives good stat bonus, more power. utsumi is always great to have.

how ever difference between /sam and /nin i would say is the amount of tp you feed to a monster for the same amount of TP you get.

store TP+meditate vs hitting fast (dual-wield reduces amount of TP gained because of lowered att speed. unlike haste which does not lower tp gained.)

i would go for sam for safer party system?

I'd like to raise the bullshit flag. Being able to solo a KSNM30 for possible gil is always a good thing. Are you doing that thing called flame baiting or something?

Nah I'm just stating my opinion, only the people who get all flustered over one's opinion would call this flame baiting, then it becomes your own problem, never was mine. Also it was stated that he wasn't doing this for gil, he was doing it just to show he can, and I agreed that is nifty, but nonetheless unimpressive to me. Being able to solo a KS30 doesn't really offer up any benefits, like I said in previous posts you will get all your drops from a KS whether you have 1 person or 6, assuming you do YOYD.
