Dancers, Maidens of the Battlefield (10/22/2007)

Look. S-E does some stupid things, but they aren't going to announce a new job and then say "Oh hey, you people 4 years ago who picked a male character? Sorry, but you don't get to play this job. Sux4u!" Oh, and Dancer in FF5 isn't gender specific. So yeah...

So you observed that every job currently in FFXI have been used in previous games? Wow, excellent observation skills! I don't think anyone have realized that by now. And naturally they're running out of jobs, since the previous FF games only hold so much jobs.

Yes... thats why I said it. No need to be a dick about it. But I guess that would be asking too much though. Fuck the fact that its pretty obvious (to those who have played all the FF games) that the jobs here have been in some way shape or form in the rest of the series. The comment that started this was directed to Alanon's post. IDK if he knew where the dancer job came from, so I told him.

And yes, I still think that they are getting near the end with the (gotta be specific here...) "familiar/canon/known/not just a re-hash/worth a fuck" jobs. I cant speak for everyone, but i'm pretty sure that jobs like "artist" would be the next Pup. Cause we all know they'll make it weak as hell in comparison to FF6 iirc, its been a while.

Yes, ofcourse they can make brand new never-before-seen jobs. (Or is that too obvious for me to say? Cause, you know saying things that are obvious would just be wrong... very, very wrong. Obvious statements make Baby Uzor cry :( ) Or because you know its not like I'm not aware of how they made the game, and have people who know how to make new jobs.... opps, being "obvious" again, sorry.

But so what? Maybe then they can actually start balancing the other jobs more.

Balance would be nice, but new jobs are fun too. Besides from what I've heard they have seperate groups to do different expansions so its not as if they cant have another one specifically for balancing the system.

That won't happen. SE probably had to fire some programmers just to hire the special force group.

And yes, obvious statements does make me cry. Because obvious statements are obvious and does not need to be stated. It makes me go :banghead3: which hurts.

And what if said obvious statements are being told to someone who doesnt know about something? Say if I were to point out to Alanon that Dancer was in a previous game, since I am not sure if he knows where the job actually came? For all I know, he could think that they pulled this out their ass as the justified compliment to Brd. Which it technicly is, but lets not split hairs.

Actually, I said it because I thought you agreed with Alanon, not because you pointed something out.

Haven't SE themselves stated before they won't ever restrict someone from becoming a certain job?

I believe they have.

Nah, I said that SE would jump the shark if they played to the fanboys by giving them jobs like Plumber(ie mario) Akuma and Sephiroth. Cause they would just be giving into the fanbase for anything they wanted regardless of how stupid it would be.

I can see dancer being a good job, but I hope it turns out to be more then just a buff job like Brd is and more like Cor where you can do both Buff and decent DD.

I don't feel like quoting.
Someone brought up ToAU AF only shown on males or something. IIRC, they had pictures like this

(I can't be bothered to dig up the other images. The one turned around is a male).
But I think they were added a month before the release?

I said BLU, not ToAU jobs.

There isn't going to be a mounted chocobo class. Dancer isn't going to be female only. How many times must this be repeated?
what about female only mounted chocobo dancers? that would be

now find a corsair one and we have a set. :)
I have all three of the taru ones in my maj folder. Someone wanted to see them but his work blocked PoL :/

All this arguing about female onry or not. Why can't everyone just wait 1 more month to find out? :)

If it was really Female onry, then it would've came out when bard did...would've made more sense, no? Just like the other FFs.

look to the side of the veil. That is a Sabs model female taru.
