Dark Knight Maat Fight

There is *zero* reason you can't have Dark Magic capped every level, along with scythe. Casting between swings is a prime opportunity to do this, and it not only buffs you, but it debuffs the mob as well. Ergo, spells such as ABS-AGI aren't as useless as most might think.

Cap it, do your shit, and stop analyzing it so much.

You do know that, If you cast a spell after your swing, It pauses the delay time on your swing right?

So casting in between swings really makes no difference. As a drk the only spells I cast during a normal fight would be Absorb-TP and Stun. If I'm dying or need mp, obviously drain/aspir.

Also a cool tip for any souleater loving drks, use drain II before your epeen ws! 12% x 4 on 1800 hp will do alot more than 12% from 1400~

I do know that, but as a Dark Knight that duly doesn't enjoy pulling hate, I cast between swings. Not *every* swing, mind you, but I cast between swings. I stand by my point that there is no excuse for not capping Dark Magic every level as a Dark Knight.

Hell, it's easier to cap than Scythe, even.

This is fun. What's even more fun is if you can get someone to pull off a Compression/Darkness Skillchain and you cast Drain directly after the SC for a Magic Burst Drain that equals or exceeds the totals of your Drain II.

My winning Maat fight was something like this:

Scythe: Darksteel Scythe
Head: Chaos
Neck: Royal Knight's
Ear: Spike
Body: Hauberk
Hands: Thick
Legs: Thick
Feet: Thick
Back: NQ Amemet
Waist: Life Belt
Rings: Str+ don't remember which at that time

Slept to 100 tp. Used a Stoneskin Gorget. Ate Hedgehog Pie. Blink Headband. Ran into range, used SE, LR, BW, Guillotine, Icarus Wing, Guillotine again. I got one scythe swing in between weapon skills, and the one just after second weapon skill was killshot.

I was 1/3 on DRK maat fight. I used the same strat all 3 times, except the time I won, I forked out the money for a stoneskin torque and a blink band.

*EDIT*
Forgot to mention....this was waaaay before Absorb-TP and Drain II were available, so I would think you may have an easier time now.
