Derail from Darth thread: Meta/Evidence

So, in short, you're saying: "You have insufficient evidence, but even if you brought more, I still wouldn't believe you because I have yet to realize that difinitive proof can't be delivered short of seeting Darth with the belt on."

It's unclear to me what you're trying to bring to the table.

By the way, he was *not* wearing the belt when I saw the bow and did /c on him a few seconds later (of course I would've screenshotted that if I saw it). He still had a swift belt on. Whether he put it on after my check is beyond me, but are you going to suggest that I should've stalked him until I saw him put it on?

HUGE LIKE AN XBOX difference between evidence and proof. Evidence is what people use to build a case or argument. When you have proof, evidence isn't needed.

Edit: I summed up my entire series of posts pretty well with: "In the meantime I'd highly suggest that the next time you want to flame someone that you actually put some effort into it instead of just posting two lines and acting like they are the Eleventh and Twelfth Commandments. Quit relying on everyone else to do your shit for you, ie Chinis, Meeze, and other contributors to this topic." I don't really have anything else to add and I'm tired so I'm going to bed. I'll ask around and try to get some info on this in the morning since none has been supplied by the OP.

Frankly, the only truly definitive proof would be if the RMT or Darth came in and posted screenshots of the trade in progress. Or, in other words, openly admitted to the deal. Which isn't likely to happen to say the least.

As for circumstantial evidence, if you wanted to be believed, you should have gone up a page or two in your chat history, screenshotted the material you know would appear incriminating, and THEN come to the flameboard to post it. As has been pointed out before, the whole "he said, she said" thing is too flimsy to convince anyone anymore, though there are those who are more than happy to jump on that sort of bandwagon if they don't like the person/group in question already.

Incidentally, on the circumstantial front, it doesn't look overly good for Darth even with the limited evidence posted, but this sort of accusation is incredibly hard to prove.

Actually, they're saying you have NO evidence, not some. If you had brought some then your story would have had instant credibility, but you had nothing so the only credibility came from you, and yours was shot long ago. Screenshots of the emotes would have established the suspicious behavior of getting along with the RMT, but instead you stupidly whine about it not being possible to take that screenshot for no reason.

Like I said, if it wasn't for the "fuck meta" undertone to this thread, Chinis' post would have ended up on the first page or two, and the evidence would look ok.

Instead we have Darth's defense attorneys, who are working probono (or something) simply out of hate for Meta. This crap is already 10+ pages or something without any opposition from Darth.

Metachronism is not the only person to ever receive the "pics or it didn't happen" response, so stop acting like everyone is singling him out for his lack of evidence in this thread.

The reason why Chinis' word is accepted more than Metachronism's, is because he's damaged his reputation around here and Chinis hasn't. He's earned his reputation of an idiot who abuses a thesaurus, Chinis actually has a pretty good rep going. Because of his obvious reputation deficiency, one that he admits he already knew about, he did nothing to bother to try to prove his point. His entire justification is "I know none of you like me, but just trust me on this," and that's an outright stupid approach. Even if he was someone of good standing, pictures would be hugely useful for proving his accusation.

No one has even said they outright don't believe that Darth would do such a thing or that Metachronism is wrong in his accusation; the only thing that people have argued over is how he telling us we should all(we who hate him and he knows it, mind you) believe whatever he says without a single shred of proof. He fucked up how he delivered the accusation, it could still be perfectly accurate(and it probably is) but he's not even fucking trying to prove his point.

A second witness, one with some actual credibility would be evidence, and that's what actually turned this thread around.
 
If we're referring to Meta's "damaged" rep because of his arguments regarding dynamis, I don't really think that rep has anything to do with Meta telling the truth or not. Seems to me it was more about being stubborn and opinionated if not arrogant about certain things, but I'd think those type of people tend to have less of a reason to lie or make things up.

We didn't believe him off his word alone, and now he's butthurt. We're telling him WHY we didn't believe him, and he's saying that we wouldn't have believed him regardless. So then why did he bring it here? My first post answers that question well enough.

And no, "chinis saying it" doesn't make it true, but now we have someone who isnt king-tarded saying it. The person saying it has alot of influence on how the information is recived, its just how the world works. Captain shit-for-brains has no credibility, while Chinis has some.

Meta attempted to play the FB game and lost. The topic only has some bite to it because someone else is supporting what he's saying.
