Deus Ex: Human Revolution

If you're hopeful, you can get let down. With the crap we get these days in gaming, getting your hopes up is like asking to be shit on. So I hope for nothing and let things surprise me. Except with Deathsmiles, I know what I'm gettin' there and I'm friggin' stoked.

I shall bumps this !!!

With something badass (not sure if this is a viral marketing video or just something fan done, but I'm guessing the former).

You know what's funny. There are many segments of that video that are merely promotional parts of a video from a REAL cybernetic company. The technology is very very low tech in comparison with science fiction like that in Deus Ex 3. In particular, the scenes with the guy with the football and cybernetic arm, and the girl on the piano with cybernetic hands. Both scenes are obviously nothing that is completely real technology. It's all experimental and the videos merely show what the future might hold.

There is actually one young man who donated his hand to this scientific research and now has an actual cybernetic hand (probably the best one to date, not sure). But it's still very rudimentary stuff, but cool that progress has at least gotten this far. When I find the links I'll post them back here.. I was at a friends house when I first saw the site and the original promotional video for the company.

Er.. I take it all back apparently. The site was all fake and was apparently set up for Deus Ex 3. Seriff Industries. Heh.. I thought it was real, it was very convincing. I haven't played any of the Deus Ex games or have kept up with Deus Ex 3 so I guess I didn't realize it. But I just talked with my friend and he told me it was all related to Deus Ex 3. :/ Bah.

XD hah. Ya, Viral Marketing is crazy eh :P

Will be picking this up, looks promising.

Damn fine game. I just finished up my first run and immediately started another. My first run was completely stealth and non-lethal. This run, the Care Bear gloves are off and, dare I say, I think I'm playing Goldeneye 007 on roids. Stealth running with a 10mm silenced is bringin' back some memories.

Unfortunately the ride is so damn good the story looses a lot of steam at the end and things tie up rather quickly and easily. No one really tries to hide anything, it's just, too smooth, the drama is just gone and it becomes more of an "OK, move to point A then B for the win." But again, helluva ride to get there and when it's all said and done, I want more of this, a lot more so long as Eidos doesn't give in to the babies cryin' about only being able to auto-recharge a single battery.

For you fans of the original, keep watching past the credits for something just as good as the game itself, hell, it might as well serve as an announcement. Though if you haven't played the first you wont know what's up.

Got this recently. Can't wait to start it up, how long would you say this game is?

Depends if you read or explore everything vs just rushing through the story :P so 20-45 hours depending on your play style I'm told.

Yeah, I can't put a good time estimate down, but I did everything in my first run, on normal, and it took quite a while. So while I can't say for sure how long it is, I will say it's a lengthy game, not only by today's standards (which are short) but by standards of old.

Yeah i would have to agree with Strid, I just finished this yesterday and I would say if you really take your time and try to do everything you are probably looking around 40 hours maybe more. I thoroughly enjoyed this game and am about to start on my non-lethal playthrough.
