Difficulty in learning spells

I got Radiant Breath solo, wasn't hard at all actually. I went to Onzozo and there's a Wyvern that alternates spawns with a Manticore, both con DC/EM. I went there as BLU/RDM with Genbu's Shield, Umbra Cape and Jelly Ring. Buffs/debuffs that I used were: Tav Tacos, Cocoon, Terror Touch, Bio 2, Protect II, Shell II, Refueling and Phalanx. Wyvern probably didn't hit me over 20. Just need to bring Remedies and Echo Drops. It's very MP intensive though, after the fight I would be left with about 100~ MP which isn't much considering you start with 600-700.

And don't forget Signet!

I wanted to go solo the spell as 51 blu in Riverne Site B01 as /bst, but unfortunately there are no charmable mobs there and you can't use jug pets when bst is a sub.

You can let Radiant Breath wait until 75 for completion sake, since you'll never use it. Though I do understand urge to get all the spells asap =/

Anyone have any tips on getting Memento Mori solo at 61? I haven't attempted it yet, but should be doable, (I think). Lowest level corses shoul con T to me at 61. Only thing that worries me is the single target charm spell, because of it regening HP back if I get charmed.

The zone outside Maze of Shakrami (forget the name) sometimes has a bst or 2 farming these mobs. I asked to team up with one to learn mine (you can even have him QM himself, and go afk somewhere, shouldn't hurt the bst at all). Hell, if you can set it up in advance, you can even sub thf to help with with TH.

Necro~

I'm trying to learn Magic Fruit but I'm having a hell of a time just getting the fucking Opo's to use the move. Any tricks to get them to use it or is it just another one of those stupid luck deals?

You would think they'd use it when you got their HP low enough. I honestly didn't have all that much trouble getting it on my alt. So, it's probably just luck.

Fuck learning BLU spells

I've missed a good 80%~ of available spells now at 57.

I'll go back and collect them one day.

EDIT: By the way, the way mobs work is that when near death they usually use their specials the moment they hit 100% TP

For a BLU, if you want to feed TP to them, best to do it with:

magic fruit is a pain, mobs have a tendency to "favor" certain tp moves over another

magic fruit isn't one of them lol

Yeah, those assholes just seem to hate curing themselves. I need like a party of 6 destroying those stupid monkeys and hoping 1 will use it. lol

I am loving this job more and more though. For my first melee I think my gear is decent and I always try to stay ontop of new pieces. I even started using Windower macros to do solo skill chains and magic bursts which is just fucking win!

Hit them untill near death and then just let them hit you. Yes, it takes time. But they will cast Magic Fruit on themselves at one point. After that off them with your most vicious Blue Magic.

If you are not so high in level, use Bludgeon to make them do TP moves often.

What I do is melee them down to like <5%, usually try to have full Mp, turn around, and wait till I'm out of Mp from Wild Carrot spam. They really tend to favor Vicious Claw and Stone Throw which is fucking annoying.

If you on tonight, and havent gotten the spell, hit me up, I'll go help you get that. I got lucky and went 1/3 on the spell, so maybe some of that can rub off on ya buddy =D
