Dirge of Cerberus

I beat the game last night. Let me just say my jaw dropped. The game has a fairly decent twist at the end, and I really liked the more in-depth into Vincent's past & the people that helped shaped him.

I also got all the G-Reports, so special ending HOOOO. That was cool. ;3

But gameplay wise... I think Nomura played a bit too much Metal Gear Solid, or Devil May Cry. XD

Also! Shot games! Take a shot everytime Vincent points his gun at the camera. Or take a shot every time someone says the line: "Vincent Valentine"

lol I thought the same thing about the devil may cry influence.

I only managed to find one of the reports, so I'm going through it again now. I thought about your drinking game idea, and I'm confident someone would die. Shelke alone says 'Vincent Valentine' at least three times everytime she speaks.

I only even wanted to play just cause it was an FFgame, but they should stick to traditional rpg's or awesome shmups like Einhander

I doubt its better then max upgraded cerberus with fully upgraded normal barrel <.<;

And not to mention the weapon you get in Chapter 12 <.<;

Thats ultima weapon. I got fully upgraded cerberus(power type) and Ultima weapon seems to be just a combination of all 3 cerberus types...so its better overall. It doesnt beat the Powered Cerberus in power but it does in range and speed and the high meds and lows.

I'm guessing Ultima weapon is just the best stats from the 3 cerberus types combinbed.


As for the game itself...not having much of a shooting game experiance, I find myself enjoying the game. The story seems pretty nice, the camera isn't too hard to get used to, I just wish i could find more gil ._.

Nope...you just need 250k after the Midgar Assault chapter

yeah, I know that, but I mean to be able to afford it. As getting S rank in everything increases the bonus gil reward you get.

Well in Chapter 10 on the last map(the one where you fight Nero) you can take a side route where you are given a mission "Defeat 100 enemies"

As you kill more, the enemies drop more gil. The last 3 dropped 8k each ^^ While the very last enemy dropped the Golden moogle which sells for 35k

Best part is that this is all repeatable and you can just get lots of money off this. I decided I'd do this a couple more times later to get Ultima Weapon..

I just got Ultima Weapon playing in Ex Hard mode in the Silent Edge level...and damn...not only the stats are all about 200, but the thing holds 99 bullets at once o.o Its hot
