Dragonball Z (Not a joke)

Well as I said in the other thread, it'll be like that Street Fighter one, I grew up playing it on the SNES because .... well, the SNES came with it and at the time the other other game we had was Mario (All Stars0, so I liked Street Fighter, and watching that on the film, ok, back then it was cool and you wouldn't think much of it. Today however, now that we can think properly, of course it really sucks, but nothing beats the original fun factor out of it.

And I agree, taking the piss would be fun, but either way, it's fun. I will watch it for sure haha.
 
It would be pretty funny if it turned out to be really good.

It does look and sound dreadful.

The guy playing goku is so handsome!
 
Wow, that actually makes me pretty hopeful for this movie. Non-perverted Master Roshi sucks though.
 
he last action scene of Goku vs. Picollo are simply amazing and when picollo takes out his huge fucking ass sword with weird rectangle shape tablet attached it at the tip of sword and slamming it on goku was fucking awesome.

Goku wasn't in high school either.

Krillin, despite how he's treated in the series, actually existed.

Mai is a made up character.

Yamcha was a desert dwelling bandit. I'm betting he's just some street pickpocket or something now.

I guess what I'm saying is that theres a lot of creative ideas modifying the story.
 
Ok I see the point, but was shocked about that sword thing so I reacted and posted.

Wrong, Mai was a character, from Dragon Ball. One of Emperor Pilaf's top underlings alongside Shu. If you ever watched Dragon Ball or even the beginning of Dragon Ball GT, she's the woman with long dark hair and wears a trench coat and generally shoots things.

Considering this movie is from the Dragon Ball arc, or.. is suppose to be anyway (considering it's called 'Dragon Ball'), it's mildly fitting. Strange though that of all baddies ...they chose Mai.
 
Oh, that Mai. I actually forgot her name.

But why her? Because she's the only "human" out of the 3?

That being said, I'll probably go see it for the hell of it.

His Kamehameha sounded so weak though.

It does look like a decent action flick at least.
 
This looked alot better than i thought it would.

Just seems like a decent action movie with some jokes here and there.

I will go see it for just being long time fan and it looks pretty interesting over all.
 
My god.....it looked like a terrible movie shot infront of a green screen. I'll still go see it but fuck....that was just bad...
 
I think the title of this thread should be changed to "Dragonball Z (a joke)"

I accepted that it was probably going to be lousy, but this trailer managed to lower my expectations even more. What the hell are they doing?
 
Chow Yun Fat needs to just retire instead of ruining his career. First Bulletproof Monk, now this abortion.
