This has gone on for 11 pages without a single post from Dragonius. Man this is stupid lol

You misunderstand me slightly, and its probably my fault. My points are based on the assumption that he did deliberately DC/Logout without appraising the item in party. There is no proof of this being the case, just as there is no proof that this is not the case, but because Dragonius' presense in this thread as yet eludes us, the discussion is in about taking ??? items without appraising them in general, not Dragonius.

There's, in my opinion, a 90%~ chance he DC'd and had no intention of fucking people over, and then pulled the prick /tell because of the flame; something I can't say I wouldn't do myself. The point of this thread isn't whether or not Dragonius ninja'd the ??? item, because nobody knows. Yes, the OP was perhaps hasty in flaming, but that's at his discretion; I've seen enough people 100% ninja them by dropping party with the item WITH rules being declared before the run to know that it can be annoying.

There's a low chance that the item will appraise, and even then, most of the items aren't that good; but is that relevant to whether or not it's as bad as stealing a K.Club? Not really, stealing is stealing.
 
The simple fact is whether he thought it was a big deal or not he took an item that was for the whole group and logged off with it either on purpose or accident. If nothing else he could have at least said "im sorry" when deadbeet did approach him about it. Truthfully with the difficulty i have had with the bloodbead ring in the past... i would probably be pissed about it as well.

We killed serket and went 1/1 on the ring. You never know if that one will be the item everyone wants. My friend got the bloodbead ring in his static. He was standing in zone without any DC red dot for over a minute. I can see how people would think something was off. I had a pld tell me before that if that NM was up they would pull it no matter time. He even disengaged the mob just so he could open the chest. Go go brass ring! So yes some people really would fake a dc to get it.

I've booted people for aggroing/targeting an NM during a Nyzul run. I'm there to get armor/tokens/floors. Aren't you? If not do a goddam static with friends to spam the ??? items. That's just stupid.

I'm not saying ??? items are useless, I'm saying that I don't see the purpose of this flame. And to flame him before even speaking to him. We shouldn't even be having this discussion right now over a ??? Ring. And yeah, we all know stealing is stealing, like stealing an earth crystal from a party is equal to stealing a Novio Earring from JoL. But we can't all be in here saying "stealing is stealing" and we don't know if he actually stole it. Yeah, he isn't posting but it's not a big issue either.

And actually I saw Dragonius for the first time in my life today and /cheered him on.

Newsflash for you (person who many of us do not know): that's what the flameboard is; somewhere people post about idiots they find in-game to warn other players about them. The fact the OP and Dragonius are pretty much unknown is the point of this thread; they were unknown, now they're not - you getting it yet? Also, just because you find the ??? items in Nyzul pointless and kick people who engage NM's doesn't mean everyone does - I've done floors with people JUST for weapons/items.

I agree with most of these unspoken rules, and I follow them, and I enjoy associating and playing with people that do too... But it is wrong to automatically expect someone you dont really know to adhere to those same conventions, and if they don't, you are free to choose to not associate with these people ever again.

In short, practice what you preach, but dont be a jehovah's witness about it.

Simply put, this whole issue could have been avoided if the OP had taken the time to wait and see what was up. By the time the OP decided to send a tell to dragonius, he was already aware of this flame. Like blaze said, act like a bitch, you shall be treated like one.
