Dynamis Antics

I'm kinda glad I'm almost not doing anything anymore in game. Shit seemed to have hit the fan pretty hard since the merge. Anyway it was inevitable from the start that people were going to have issues with dynamis. I did not check the numbers but it feels like the number of shells doubled if not more since the merge. My word of advice is always the same, if it's your turn and ppl starts gathering on top of your group, get your shit together and move in before they do. If you can avoid disputes do so, outside of that it's the law of the jungle and you are on your own.

Also lol @ the people butt hurt because of Myrrh. Priceless stuff is priceless!

It only contributes to the problem, but maybe you guys should send a double agent into their shell to find out what zones they plan on doing, and then jack them instead. If nothing else, it'll probably feel good.

Also calling people from Midgard, Miggers. Completely tasteless.
Nah, seems to taste pretty good to me.

Also, to add. If you come to the server with a shitty attitude you will be responded with the same kind of attitude.

No, it was offensive and tasteless and if you'd done it when I'd been in Whitegate - I'd have GMed you in a heartbeat as well.

lol A+ limecat XD.

And yeah, server transfer or not, if you're a dick be prepared for a dickwar. I'd think it would be common knowledge since day 1 of this game no?

Isn't this just like the race card being played? You can't say anything about someone from the other server without them screaming hate crime in a sense of them just being "hated on because they are from Midgar". And like wise, any midgarian that says anything to quetzies are just hearing the same thing. If someone jacked a zone who was a soul resident of quetz, they would just be labeled a jerk and got flack from the community. However, a Quetzie called a Midgarian out for doing something that ANYONE would be a jerk for doing, and they are being accused of just treating the transfers like trash because they are different. I'm guessing that a psych major would love to analyze how tragic this community merger is becoming since the people are making it an issue, not the actual event itself.

And for the record, Myrrh said "migger" out in Rollanberry when a Midgarian CC for Simurgh wouldn't stop harassing several people in our group and shouting curse words (including but not limited to 'cunt' which I found highly offensive.) against Quetzies just for not leaving the area.

Every time I hear "Miggers" the only thing that is popping in my head is that stupid south park episode...

That had the funniest opening ever. I honestly cannot thing of something that tops it. Also, Myrhh gets a gold star for being creative and offensive at the same time.

For the record. I never came up with Miggers. I was just the only one who had the balls to say it.

Knock knock.

Who's there?

Spoiler:
<<< Welcome to Quetzalcoatl, Miggers! >>>

so what chairman said to myrrh is supposed to fix anything? Your server junkies are doing just as much to instigate the situation as anyone else. Myrrh rarely lashes out at anyone that doesn't instigate first, he is usually blunt and to the point.... but never does shit without provocation. As karah said.

I assumed Myrrh isn't the type to snipe without being provoked -- Like what Miruyasha told me about the "You're gimp if you don't have a very cheap Garuda!" incident. (Miru told me he'd called Myrrh a slightly bad name first)

Tho yes, that erm, name is way too close to a racist term for comfort (and if I said anything like that I'd deserve to get my mouth washed out with soap). To be blunt; whoever provoked Myrrh into saying that is a ass. And a ass is a ass is a ass no matter which server they came from, in my opinion.

To get back on topic; my theory is as a rule, most of the polite shells/ones that would random for zone on midgard will easily see sense if you are willing to talk it out. (There may be exceptions however; I am NOT familiar with EVERY midgardian dynamis shell.) Though since (witness the rolanberry mall incident) we are all creatures of habit, it may take time for them to see sense. People get in comfortable ruts, and it can take a lot to push them out of it. I can also say from experience and what I have heard; There were too many rude and ass-y shells too that wouldn't even try and would steal zone without even saying hello. Not much we can do about that except put pressure on those clowns. I'm expecting this to take a few months to see which will see sense and just pay attention to calendar, darn it, and which will continue to be rude.

It would be a first, I don't recall any shell going from "not following the scheduling" to "praise the scheduling system and the QCDN god" lol..

True. I'm all "wait and see, but don't be too rude" about this. I did have a very good idea how this was going to go. Again, not naming the shell since I am kinda mad at them (don't ask here for the gory details please. Olde drama is old and needs to stink in peace.)

My first dyn shell was the result of a merge and was darned dramatastic. I left them over that and a friend nearly getting screwed over his Excalibur. It was two diff shells with two totally diff ways of doing things and it was very rough in the beginning (because of different leadership styles and different strategies) but the drama showed up very quickly laterr. And in the end, pissed me off so bad I ran away. And found a new dyn shell, which I'm currently in.

I think what we're going though is like my first dynamis shell, but on a much much bigger scale. I just hope people keep their heads. This could end up very bad; it could also turn out OK if you give it time once things shake down. I'm not defending anyone who has been ignoring calendar and I won't; heck, as I said; as a rule (there may be exceptions) shells that stole on midgard may still be stealing zones here (and would deserve the cold shoulder anyway). A tiger does not change its stripes when the rules change. So far, that seems to be the case with the shells that have been listed here.

Oops, can't edit here. But I mean, as a rule from ones I recognize. I can't be expected to recognize every shell that steals; I'm more familiar with those that used to run Tuesday/Saturday since that's when I usually do dynamis.

Warning for Saturday shells...

My ls xXMutinyXx had Glacier stolen from them tonight by ArmyofEwoks. They had previous tried to steal xarc from us a few weeks back but we sent a mule in to hold the zone for an hour while we gathered and entered at our normal time. Ody is there leader and while they look at the calendar they dont care and will take whatever zone they want. While dynamis is first come first serve, we try to be fair anduse the calendar so everyone gets a shot at all zones. I wish the rogue midgard shells would get that through their head.

I already warned them that I will hold zones if I see them gathering at an important zone. My ls bank is big enough to have cash to blow so im not worried. I really dont understand how hard it is to use a schedule.

As if anything else needed to be said about Thatjusthapponed this is what they broke off from.

With that out of the way

I really wish people on both sides of this merge drama would come to realize that when it came to merges we were one of the luckier ones and it could of been a hell of a lot worse. This server has been the joke of the FFIX community for a long time and yet, everyone wonders why the midgar people hold such animosity towards being forced to come here.

I should also note that I love that every time the subject of dynamis and limbus jacking comes up everyone cries for SE to instance them yet, when the subject of botting HNMs is brought up there is no talk of the fact that HNMs are a even more flawed system then dynamis ever was. The double standard is quite amazing.
