Why do they aggro?
I hate that I can't run through so many places or go AFK there without having to constantly resneak/reinvis myself. :banghead3:

Stuff like Easy Prey - or even - - doesn't aggro to anything, for example: Most of quicksand caves to a level 75.

But Robber Crabs? Granted, I can't solo one, but I'm sure other jobs can at 75. And why do they aggro to resting? I'm resting in La Theine, and an Orc comes and misses me 15 times in a row, and I can smack him with my hammer and kill him. But since I'm resting, I'm what, more vulnerable for attack? :nono:

Actually, they do <.<; But their aggro range is lower then higher level ones. Run right past it and it will aggro

yeah range changes i notice when i run pass a EP little far a way it wont agro at 75 but if i run up to face it agros.

its a sneak attack!

There are many ep at 75 that won't aggro unless you rest. You can run circles around them and stand right in their face. The range isn't just changed, its gone in many cases. I have never noticed the aggro range changing though.

The EPs that don't aggro now are the EPs that used to be Too Weak before SE decided to tweak the way we were able to get xp from mobs; that is why they don't aggro.

Yup, I think the aggro range is 10 levels below your level (where they used to become Too Weak), EP's go down to 15 levels below you now.

So if your 75, monsters level 65+ will aggro you
Monsters level 60-64 will con as EP, but will not aggro.

Unless you are resting... then they dont care what level you are

It doesn't make sense to me why this shit would aggro. For example: Would you walk up to a VT or IT and just hit it? I think the same rules should apply to monsters as they do Players, SE knows that we don't "aggro" T's when we're soloing, so why would a monster?

Monsters are stupid. Beastmen included.

On another note, I think it's funny as hell when a mob in the starter zones aggroes me when I"m resting.

This is not true. Helm Beetles are 59-62 and they all agro 75s. Robber Crabs in Kuftal are 60-63, and they all agro too.

I think the magic lvl is actually around 60. Werebats for example are 55-59 and they don't aggro at 75. Helm beetles being 59-62 however do aggro. I've never had a werebat aggro while standing, so there must be a few helm beetles at lvl 59 that won't aggro (just rare to notice).

Not true. Kuftal tunnle crabs are 60-63 and they still agro at 75

The higher level you are, the higher the level of the IT mobs, and it works for Easy Prey.

Robber Crab: lol dood, watch me solo this IT WHM.
Cave Worm: Dude ur nuts!
Robber Crab gains 350 experience points.
Cave Worm: Dude wtf I couldn't solo that stuff even if I Bind > -ga III wtf
Robber Crab: Don't u no? PCs only get 2-digit stats lol
Cave Worm: lol...

That's how it is behind our backs and you all know it.

Er, the low/high eva/def has nothing to do with your level - strictly acc/atk. If you take off all your clothes (do it!) and check an EP robber that cons EP++ to you, chances are a decked-out melee of the same level could walk up to it and it would be EP--.

I don't think the high/low eva/def rating has anything to do with whether or not the mob will aggro.

Ish, your infatuation with little girls who carry ginormous spikey death clubs is slowly making my stiffy go limp.

Not completely true...

If you're a 75MNK and they con low eva - low def, they might not as if you're naked and 75whm :D simply because of the MNK h2h <.< ... but still!
