So, I am leveling my newly aquired BST job yesterday. Started in Zherum Mines then move outside at level 5 to level on the hill in South Gustaberg. Things are going ok, but I notice there are almost no sheeps or gobs around, which is fine for now cause I am aiming at wasps and stone eater.

Then I get to level 6 and go allright, let's try some sheeps. Well, not a single one in sight.... then I see this asshole, high level (was anon, but still could tell with his hp not goign down at all) RDM..... Eddiemush! He is training everything he sees, sheeps, gobs, wasps and if he could, worms! He is making it impossible for all the low level there to gain any exp. So I say to myself screw him and I grab ONE of the 5-6 gobs he had on him and fight it. Of course, I get poked by him and think that this is the end of it.... wrong!

About 1 hour after that, I was healing after fighting a gob when I see this guy coming back towards me with 3 gobs... and warps leaving the gobs next to me, while I am at 70 hp....

Well fuckface, I did not die!!! Thank god I am an alchemist and was leveling BST. I immediatly get up and use an X-potion (always carry one), then I grab a sheep that just spawned and send it on one of the gob. And I start running like hell with the other two gobs on my ass. As soon as I see my blue sheep disappear, I charm the first thing I see, a wasp, and send it on one of the two remaining gobs to buy some time. And I finally zoned the last gob with 17 hp left.

So Eddiemush, guess you'll have to try again! Oh, and another low level that was healing next to me did not have the same luck and died from the gob that ws fighting the sheep, thanks to you!

Just go find another place to farm or go to hell!

Don't try to own an entire zone at once farming or not.

Then to try and MPK is just wrong besides you don't really notice a few missing from the flock.

Meh, I take from trains when I feel like it. The game made it so you can. If it wasnt allowed, it would claim everything in the train to one person >.>

1) Plenty of places to farm at high levels, very few to level at 4-5.

2) Taking all this time to grab gobs, look for me, wrap to Jeuno in the hope that I would die and then go farm in Sarutabaruta (Yeah, I checked you a few times after Eddie) is just plain stupid in my mind.

Are you kidding? There are more places too lvl 4-5 than there are for any other lvl range in the game. On top of this, south gustaberg is huge and isn't there another hill in north gustaberg you could try?

It use to allow you to keep the claim on them, but for some stupid reason they changed it. Anytime someone grabs one from my train I warp/escape out on them (and using your logic, if it wasn't allowed they wouldn't let me warp while being attacked). If they want one so bad, they can have all of them. :evil: I've exped low lvl jobs around train farmers before and had 0 problem finding something to kill. Train farmers are usually moving pretty fast to keep ahead of the train, so they miss a few mobs, more than enough to exp on at those low lvls.

This reminds me of people whining when I train farmed in konschant highlands. WTH?! Do you have any idea how giant that zone is? There are so many mobs spread all over the place it isn't possible to grab them all.

Bottom line is it takes two to have this problem. Both of you want the same thing and you are implying you have some higher right to it than this rdm. Your stealing from his train wasn't right and his mpk of you wasn't right either. Problem could be solved if one of the two would swallow their giant ego and just go some place else.

Apparently high levels aren't allowed to farm anywhere anymore.

Yesterday I went to Pal. Mines to farm the first level Quadav for helms and backplates. Hell, I wasn't even training - I was testing out my Carby mitts and my av's ability to oneshot any of low-tier Quads. I got no less than three tells from level 7-10 people in the area who were upset with me 'dominating' the lower level area and could I 'fuxin' move to the upper floor.

No. No, I won't move to the upper levels, because those don't drop the backplates I want. Go level in Gustaberg, or take the other mobs I'm not bothering with, because I'm not trying to MPK you, and I'm not going out of my way to steal 'your' mobs.

When I was a lowbie, if an area I wanted to farm/xp in was taken, I did something amazing... I LEFT. I expect the same from other people, but then again I expect a lot of things from a lot of people that I know deep down will never happen.

I'll try again, but it is your logic so I hoped you would understand. Your logic said "because I can steal from a train its ok to do that". So by your logic because I can warp out when someone steals from my train, it is ok to do.

Konschant Highlands is a great place to farm! What was he farming in South Gustaberg? Sheeps and gobs. Wadda you know!! There are those as well in the highlands! You want gobs? You got Dangruff Wadi just 5 minutes away.

Now, where would I go to level at 4-5 other then Gustaberg? Both Wadi and the Highlands are certain deaths.

Yes the area is big and yes I could have gone to North Gustaberg. But it just happened that we were both at the same place at the same time.

AND my point is, just in case Harry Potter here did not get it yet, I don't high level players should not farm in low leveling areas and make it twice as hard for new players or players starting a new job to raise there character. What if a level 70 PLD decides to go to Qufim and kill every snippers and pugils he can find... would'nt that be fun for the parties there!

PLUS coming back and trying to kill me with a train of gobs was just a stupid thing to do. This is not about who has the biggest ego (think you would probably win that contest) but about respecting other players that are playing with you.

Uhm, you can hunt just about anywhere inside south gustaberg, north gustaberg, and the palbraough mines all close to Bastok. South gustaberg consists of a lot more than that one simple hill btw. If you are up for some travel, go to east or west ronfaure, never anyone in east ronfaure or even the windy newb zones. There is so much space in all those places for you to go to. Everyone doesn't exp on that little hill, you could even try a couple of the other hills around if you weren't so intent on blaming others.

As for why he farms in gustaberg instead of konshctant is probably because he can't one shot the sheep out there.

While we are on the subject of warping. From what I know(I maybe wrong.) Warping and setting a train on someone would be considered MPK and illegal according to SE. While taking from a train is not. So much for that. :shock:
