Rones, seriously, you keep flipping sides left and right. Your last post related the incident to something totally not involved. This guy did not warp out and "let him have the rest" as you would say. He went out of his way, got mobs he KNEW could kill this guy, found him(while RESTING no less), and warped out right in front of him. That gives little time to get up and move away considering I doubt he was expecting the guy to warp out.

And sorry, you think your situation is different? Verbal arguement for a few days = unjustified MPK...But, provoking one mob out of probably 10 or so = justified MPK? How the hell does that make sense?

Oh, and you aren't making yourself look any better by first saying you have never train farmed, then saying you have, only to say it was only that one time, but then expressing apparent knowledge in what methods are effective for train farming. Sounds like you just wanna be able to be right on every point.

Quite simply, there was NO need for an MPK because he took ONE mob. And please, don't spit that "Oh but you could have run for like 15 seconds and found another one." Well guess what? So could that guy train farming!!! Amazing isn't it? Not to mention, it may be a bit harder to go find that other mob when the guy 10 feet away from you has half the zone on him. Just my 2 cents.

Well I can't tell if you're serious in that post. But by the same logic of
"He wanted one from my train, so I gave him all of them."
You can say that your xp PT wanted 1 crawler so they got all of them.

My point remains, which is undebated. I can aggro every mob in a damn zone and once and stand around with my thumb up my ass, it doesn't mean I own them all. It just means I pissed them all off. If you want to claim it, attack it and turn it red. Kill one, kill another. Don't scoop them all up and then bitch when someone wants to kill them. For one thing, they won't repop until they're killed. So when you train them around for a few minutes you are taking the spawn and slowing the repop.

When I'm a low lvl job, and I try to kill a crawler and sarabutu, and as I run up to attack it a higher level vokes it quickly, I consider them rude. Because say what you want, but even wtihin the same zone, if you're farming with claim tools and you don't get aggro and you have widescan... you're going to find another crawler before I finished killing this one.
The point is by farming against exper, you're hoarding. If you're going to grab it from me as I run up with my weapon drawn, it's rude but I'll forget about it a minute later. But if you are training all the mobs around like you own the damn zone, I'm not going to sit back and say "gosh I don't want to upset this guy considering he obviously owns them by the face he can run around getting their aggro." It's not stealing, because it's not yours. You can claim 1 mob at a time, deal with it.
If you are fighitng an NM, and it turns yellow midbattle for a moment, and then someone claims it, THAT'S STEALING.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Are you accusing me of being a liberal?

I did train farm a very long time ago, I never said I had never train farmed, just that I don't bother anymore. I found farming to be a waste of time.

Flaru, few places will a train clear out all the mobs. Such as gustaberg, not everything links there as far as I know, so while he may grab all the goblins, there would still be sheep, bees, vultures, worms, and crabs out there.

Quite simply, there was NO need for an MPK because he took ONE mob.
Had you taken the time to read my posts you would have seen where I said that was to be a last resort after asking him several times to not steal from your train and he repeatadly steals from it. My old experiences in konschant commonly resulted in having other farmers following me across the map picking one mob off at time, sure one mob is nothing, but 3-4 farmers picking off one mob over and over leaves me with a lot of mp spent pulling things and time spent running and nothing to kill.

Firestreak:
For one thing, they won't repop until they're killed. So when you train them around for a few minutes you are taking the spawn and slowing the repop.
No actually. I could gather up and kill 30 mobs by train methods much faster than someone doing single targets could kill 10 (faster than a mage anyway), so in reality its being more time efficient. Get the same effect in 1/3 the time means less interuption for others.
You can say that your xp PT wanted 1 crawler so they got all of them.
Now you are talking about a very different situation. Who train farms in crawler's nest? Even 70+, worker crawlers hit pretty hard and I know I wouldn't want more than 2-3 after me at one time.

You can kill 30 mobs faster with your method than 1 low lvl can kill 1 mob. But, by the time you actually are ready to kill your train, some of them could have already been repoped if killed initially by said lowwer level. As the timer for repop is based off time of death not time of claim.

No you are misunderstanding my logic completely. It has nothing to do with farming. If you are to say it's not MPK to give someone many mobs because they wanted 1, then the same logic applies to all situations. Obviously you think it's MPK when someone hits your exp party with a train, regardless of if you wanted 1 of that type of mob. So you can't argue that it's not MPK when done to the lowby who wanted 1 sheep and got many.
Same logic, different situation.

My statement of 'if they wanted 1, give them all' applied to when they wanted 1 from the farmer's train. They shouldn't rely on the farmer to keep all of them if they are going to start taking mobs from the train. Its a risk of the situation, what if the farmer d/ced or died, same result but most wouldn't call that an mpk. It would have been the same result because the exper grabbed from the train.

Really though, you make it sound impossible to find mobs when someone train farms, but in the places I recommended it really shouldn't be an issue (Konschtant, gustaberg, tahoronghi canyon, all wide open with loads of mobs everywhere).

He is talking about the fact that you are saying I deserved the MPK, then that MPK is wrong, then you would gladly mpk someone IF you were train farming and they grabbed one of your mob and then mpk is something that should be done as a last ressort thing after many warnings..... getting confused too quite frankly!

Again... onel last time.... I grabbed ONE gob out of the train because there was nothing left in the zone (sheeps DO link). Eddiemush comes back 1 hour later (without any tell wathsoever) with 3 gobs on his tail, then wraps right in front of me while I was healing... he did not ask me not to steal and did go out of his way to attempt mpk!

This is totally untrue! If you gather 10 mobs then kill them, they will respawn while you are gathering the next 10 mobs or the last 10, depending on how fast you kill them. If you wait to have 30 before killing your train, then the very first mob you grabbed still has not respawn, slowing the process a lot because you keep the whole thing alive while trying to gather 30!

As far as taking quotes from previous posts, I thought that wsa what quotes were for!!! To make a link between what you previously said and what you are saying now, without having to go back with your broswer....

Oh comon!!!!!!! If you push a little further, my computer's gonna start twitching!

Veresko I don't remember ever addressing specifically your situation. My posts have been about the concept of train farming and those who steals from the trains.

ill have to come clean and say that i have train farmed, however that was in zitah against the infamous gil farmers there muahahhahqah

I understood it. I think your brain just has a problem grasping some things.

What part of computers twitching makes since? I can't come up with a good argument so my computer is going to twitch at you :?: :!:

/sigh nvm...your way too literal

This is seriously getting out of hand. You can't hold a decent discussion with 6 vs 1. It just becomes a shouting match.

Hummm..... newsflash, the thread started with my situation and is about someone who attempted mpk on me.... not the concept of train farming. You did address my situation in your posts (not gonna quote every single one of them since you seem to dislike back quotes so bad) and yes train farming is part of the situation and part of the discussion, but you DID spend a lot of time talking about mpk as well....

Please, this is getting embarassing, I keep trying to be polite and keep the posts to your "Intellectual status" but you have to learn when to stop!

6 vs 1. wonder if that should be telling you something right there

No they shouldn't rely on the farmer to keep the train if you're going to steal from it. but that doesn't mean they are justified to turn that train into a weapon against you. I find training mobs around to be very rude in general. Rude when you train a bunch of mobs to a zone where people are exping. When when you train stuff around then leave or something and the mobs take return paths where they aren't expected and people are killed as a result. It's simply called common courtesy. Kill it or don't aggro it. If you gotta zone it, make sure no one is gonna get killed as a result. All of these morals are from the route idea, when dealing with potentially dangerous monsters, be thoughtful of others around you. The same rule doesn't apply to profitable monsters, as far as NM and such are concerned as far as our community is concerned.

Wow, I actually thought you could understand a statement from such a simple minded person like me...

Let me explain, you saying that stealing from a train is RISKY business because the person could d/c or die and the result would be like mpk....

You are pushing it, tu pousses pas mal loin!!!!

Who's shouting? We are simply pointing out the fact that you keep contradicting yourself and that Eddiemush still is a moron for attemtping to mpk me!

I think you are starting to realize the non-sens of what you are saying, that's all!

Obviously since online discussions have no volume shouting has a different meaning. In this situation it means getting drowend out be sheer number of other posts all at the same time from so many different people all making different points and is just too much to carry on a rational discussion that follows the flow of reason: point followed by counter-point, followed by a counter to the counter, and so on. That chain doesn't work when you get too many people at once.
Tyrath
6 vs 1. wonder if that should be telling you something right there
It tells me that all those who disagree have spoken their piece and everyone else agrees with my stance. (sarcasm before someone misreads this) More seriously it displays how big of effect indimidation has even in online discussions, who would go up against the majority and highly outnumbered for little to no benefit? That's not fun for most, but I enjoy the it aslong as it doesn't collapse into a 'shouting match'.

Veresko

Well I'm sorry for expanding your topic beyond one specific situation and creating the opportunity for a discussion on the ideas that could lead to such situations. Expanding something into an ethical discussion is useually fun and more productive than emotion filled flames of specific people from one sided events.
