I meant more to the point how no one seems to agree with you. Dont give me BS about how ppl wont stick up for u cuz of the majority on other side. Its a frigging online forum, nothing to be intimidated of. :shock: And if you are intimidated of online people, then you are one sad, sad person :o

Rones wasn't talking about Eddiemush being in the right for killing you (sure thats what the topic started off as but then it drifted from there). He was discussing how if somebody pulls a mob from a guy train farming just b/c "he feels like it" as Tyrath put it (and obviously since you're just doin it to tick the guy farming off then maybe its working ; P) then the farmer can just warp out and let him have all of the mobs (b/c your attempt at pissing him off worked). I've known Rones for a long time and he would never do this.

Anyway, I dunno why you couldn't just move somehwere else and xp there. If mobs are taken in a place that you are xping...go somwhere else. Lvls 1-10 aren't hard to find mobs to fight...theres a ton. Its the same deal for later on in game...if mobs are taken where you want to xp...go somewhere else.

As far as the Eddiemush guy goes...that was fucked up what he did, yes. However, Rones was never defending him...he was talkin about train farming in general and he never said that "if the guy brings back 3 gobs near you and warps out by you" was justified.

But you, unlike all these others, you are not affraid, as long as it don't gets into a shouting match, which it is now..... which is where the others won't jump in because the are intimidatd.... but you are ok as long as it's not a shouting match.... :?

I think maybe there are other reasons why it's 6vs1...

If you read the last posts I made today (after calming down I guess) I did participate to your discussion and I have no problem with it at all. The point of starting this thread was of course to let everyone know here what happened with this guy, but also to start the discussion on the matter. And you participated in the discussion.... so please don't come out and say you did not address the situation.....

I said "if I feel like it" yes. But does that mean to tick someone off? I dont think so. Would be more when I actually have use of the trained mobs. Then yeah, I will take a mob if I feel like it. You dont own them :P
 
A better way to retaliate when someone steals from your train would be to one-shot-kill everything in sight of the person stealing from your train. Pissing back without MPK.

But considering that some train farmers pass by with 20 of one type of monster, and are still going about, and I need to farm the same type of monster for materials, guess what? I'd be pissed off too.

Justifying voluntary MPK, in any form and for any cause, doesn't float well with me. Do that to me, whether it is because I trained 5 Exorays to the zone, or picked your fishing spot while you were logged off, and you bet I'll be calling a GM on whoever killed me.

Again, hypothetical statement for the last one.
 
Hmmm I dunnooooo that seems fishy to me. I've heard lots of people say they take from train farmers just cos "they feel like" it and they usually feel like it b/c they know its gonna piss the guy off lol. That also goes along with finding other mobs to xp off of. If I see a guy train farming (no matter what lvl I am) I know what hes tryin to do and I don't mess with the stuff in his train due to the fact that Gustaberg, Konschat, Sarutabaruta, etc are freakin huge and I've never had trouble getting xp in those areas at low lvl.

Not like they do anything anyway. I had a tool name Syndre attempt to MPK our group as I was talking to a GM about him trying to MPK us. Nothing happened. I had to page again and the second GM said "I will talk to the previous GM you spoke to" and I never heard back from either. GM's are useless twits.
 
Rones, concerning your not agreeing with the guy in the first place...And me taking the time to read all of your posts...I did. That's why I mentioned you flipping sides. I'm not going to fish out the quote, but I KNOW you said "I think he got what he deserved." Now correct me if I'm wrong, but that is agreeing with the guy who did it, condoning it as right, and dare I say, even supporting his actions.
 
Hm, seems I am mistaking Rones. The quote I WAS thinking of was one stating that if he had asked you to stop and you continued, THEN you got what you deserved. I apologize for the misquote. ^^;

The sarcastic part was saying there were lots of others who agreed with me. I wasn't saying the intimidation was keeping them from speaking up, just pointing out a potential flaw in situations where the discussion is extremely one sided and loses the flow of rational discussions (point, counter point, counter to the counter, etc- check out the whm erase thread for some rough examples of this).

And by that logic, there is nothing wrong with people stealing hnm's which is true according to gms, but most normal players wouldn't feel that way (especially the ones who just spent hours wearing it down to 2% health and got it stolen).

Your logic is if you can do it, then there's nothing wrong with it. Just ask any miner how they feel about someone taking their mining points. Just because you can does not make it morally right.

That comment just shows what an utter noob you are at hnm fights. Fights like king behemoth require kiting and there are bugs in FFXI's coding system that cause the mob to lose claim for a split second that mostly involve the mob going out of range while using a ws or magic nuke. Yet, by your own statement, the alliance that dwindles KB down to 2% health and loses it is less deserving of the drop than the alliance that stole it at the last second while sitting around on their butts. :roll:
