English class?

Oh!

People in the middle: Grow a pair of balls and pick a side you pussies!

 muwa ha ha ha ha

Ok, so Baja won't accept the fact that social standards call for certain actions and behavioral patterns as well as literacy and vocabulary? I mean, how often do you find some gansta rapper turn into the CEO of a respectable fortune 500 company? Mind you, throwing out "fucks", "shits", and "nikkaz." I mean, seriously... if you speak like a retard and don't expect to be treated like one then you need to put the flowers that you're picking down and come back to reality. Grow up Peter Pan; Count Chocula.
What? Have you read ANYTHING I've posted in this thread? I was one of the first ones saying that if you type like an idiot you'll get treated like one and talk of standards; so I have no clue what the hell you're talking about.

Hellstorm is the one who's saying he doesn't have to meet any standards because people 300 years ago had significantly different standards.

I forgot the "he" after Baja. -.-;; I know where your stance is on this, I just want to verify the people in our community that are too incompetent and/or lazy to type out relatively average-intelligence posts.

Oh, ok. That's actually a perfect example of why grammar is important, missing a single word completely changed the target of your post.

I'd like to point out the fact that baja is one of those "grammar critics". I just don't see the point in taking the time to correct somebody's grammar on the intranet when it's obvious that person really doesn't care what his E-peers think of his typing skills. Have you people nothing better to do?

The only time I've ever criticized someone's grammar, it's because they have been very unclear of their meaning in their posts. They say something poorly, what they "really mean" doesn't show up in the posts and they get defensive about it. I've never even corrected anyone's grammar, only complained about how bad theirs is when they are not being clear in their posts.

I also have better things to do than try to divine what someone is saying because they're too stupid to phrase a sentence correctly so I could figure out what they want.

Its the first quarter and you wanna toss up a hail mary?! I'd like to be cowboys from Arizona or pimps from Oakland but it's not Halloween.

Wait...I'm confused. I can understand the "Grow up PeterPan"...but Count Chocula?

Edit: Ah okay, it's from a movie. But I still don't get it. Count Chocula gets all the bad rep! He's one of the better cereal mascots. Bah

Tim delivers! har har XD

If you noticed, I said the person had to be smart enough to be able to take the criticism and then actually try to improve for being polite initially to work. You definitely do not qualify. You hardly use any facts at all(mostly conjecture/bullshit), and you certainly don't use reason in most of your posts. I fighting it horrifyingly sad that you actually think you're posting logical arguments and are supporting them and that you seem to actually consider yourself intelligent in the process of these threads.

About 99% of the words I have had to add to the firefox dictionary were FFXI terms or specialized words that wouldn't come up in everyday speech and so wouldn't be found in a normal dictionary. You've also misspelled very basic words that I know are in the firefox dictionary, so I'm calling bullshit on that.
In other word you either with me or I'm going be defensive. That always been your stance and you always been simple minded in your post.

Secondly every post I made I have gave reason and logic behind it, however most the fights I choose to fight are chosen because I know people are going to disagree due to some people one tracked minds (quite few you on this board). You see everything as black and white, but there are many shade of gray. Other I choose because one person get flame to hell about something, but the one doing the flaming is no better then there person doing the flaming. You pick them out because they have done something you yourself have most likely done at one time or another. For some reason you finding that flaming that person will bring justice and peace to the world.

This is a game forum about a online rpg game not some collage thesis paper. I'm sorry I have better thing to do then to proof read and correct every mistake I make in a post. You don't like go ahead flame me as I've already stated I don't give a dam. Here I'll put it in the 2nd grade language you all love to use, "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me"

Oh and also Albert Einstein was born in 1879 died 1955 hardly 300 years ago,and while yes, the expectation of education was different back then today; to say that he would not be considered what he was then, now is nothing short of ignorance. His mind is still far pass the times now as it was then. What you fail to make out from this example was the point that one's intellect is not linked to ones ability to use perfect grammar. maybe if you spent as much time thinking of the post then bashing it or trying to isolate a weak point you would see that.

The main reason for people thinking you're a dumbass is because the points you argue are beyond stupid. The horrendous grammar is just a bonus.

I *love* that argument. I've even already mentioned it! Thanks for providing a case example. /radiantsmile

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (the other person you mentioned) lived from 1756 to 1791. Not 300 years ago (200-250 would've been more accurate) but I think it was in reference to him, not Einstein, that the 300 years comment was made.

and while yes, the expectation of education was different back then today; to say that he would not be considered what he was then, now is nothing short of ignorance. His mind is still far pass the times now as it was then. Some really importantly smart people can have poor communication skills. And yes, you're right, they're still smart and important in spite of that. Having said that, there are *two* things necessary in order to communicate something worthwhile:

1. The ability to *have* something worthwhile to communicate. (This would be the whole "being smart" bit.)
2. The ability to communicate whatever you want to communicate. (This gets back to the whole discussion of this topic.)

If you have the most profoundly wise thoughts, but your ability to communicate to the outside world is limited to gurgling and drooling, who will ever know those things you're thinking? (This is, incidentally, a common issue with autism.) Conversely, if you have an awesome grasp of language, but your ability to think is on par with a character from Idiocracy, then you probably don't have anything worth saying. You need a reasonable amount of *both* things, in order to communicate anything worthwhile.

Oh and one more thing:

Your recent posts in this topic have, for whatever reason, been much more understandable than your older fare. Whether that's coincidental or because of this topic, you could say better than I. Regardless, that *is* a good thing and I think you should keep it up, and I mean that completely seriously and non-sarcastically too.

I agree 100%

Congratulations on post #1 ^^;;

So maybe with post #2 you'll tell the public what you agree with? Which of the 27 points and arguments do you agree with?

How much more effort is it to spell properly? I mean, seriously. I'm not usually a nazi on my own spelling, much less anyone elses but when you roll in mispelling words at a grade 3 level maybe you need to start looking at the screen before hitting submit. is that ten second span of scanning your post for big errors too much? odds are, if you're posting you have nothing better to do with that 10 seconds anyhow. I mess up all the time. especially with placement of spaces. things like "in the" come out "int he" ect ect. I figure my posts at least are granted higher consideration because people don't have to waste time trying to figure out what I mean, i try not to leave any recockulous words hanging botched beyond recognition.

Tbh if they apologised for their bad spelling and grammer and said they were trying to improve then people would back off and only comment again if they didn't show any improvement.

Also you agree that times are different. I imagine nightschools and internet programmes are a hell of alot easier to improve your english (hell tbh my writing skills have improved just from being involved in the forum) than it was back then.

Although kudos on writing a decent post i had no trouble reading it at all.

Until you figure out that the letter "s" does exist, I'm afraid you're never going to win "Wheel of Fortune." Pat Sayjack is disappointed.
