There are a bunch of A-hole JPs just like there are a bunch of US A-holes, but making generalizations like "Um... NO I'd be willing to bet on average the average JP is much worse then the average English player." is pretty lame. People like that is why I would want to stop palying with English players, alas I'd be willing to bet on average the average English player isnt as thick headed as that one.

I knew Europeans where perfect.

I remember the Japanese players on North America release date for PC wouldn't help you for shit if you asked, nicely or rudely.

Japanese players also would assume (not all, in fact a Japanese player Juria helped me with a lot of stuff when I started.) a lot of English speaking players (North American and European) sucked. Look now, I think its safe to say a majority of English players are better.

It probably doesn't help though that half the retards who speak in game talk like they are 10 and just learned how to type. "Grammar? Capitals? PROPER SPELLING?! WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!" "thx u for help" Guiz iam saving a few miliseconds not tyaping write.

"they became very mean" I dont remember doing this to English players at the 360 release, maybe I didnt get the email to every Japanese person in the world :(

If I stereo-typed I would have used words like "All Japanese". Fact is there was about a 6month period where I saw a lot of really shitty things JP's did CFH on Kirin's HMN's O. hat, MPK Players among other things. Fact is there is a lot of good and bad JP's, same as English people but from the unwarranted hatred I've seen some of the JP's have towards us I personally choose to not deal with them or help them if I can avoid it. If I do things with the JP's I will be choosing which ones to do it with. I never said there wasn't good ones though and I am friends with some of them.

Well I just figured since you used 'They' meaning us JP in general, but I dont doubt thBut everythinat there are jerk JP players out there. g you said can be turned around and would be true for English speaking players as well, so it just doesnt make sense why you would block off an entire race of people when the race you belong to is doing the same stuff?

I mean, its cool and all if you dont wanna party with JP, I dont find it offensive or anything, but its just kinda weird that one would shut off an entire group of people because of a few rotten apples. Its kinda like if I were to say I dont like 50cent or P.Diddy, so therefore I refuse to talk to black people anymore. :\

No because I am still friends with some of them... It's more like I pick the crowd I wanna be with. Are all RMT people bad people? No. Do people avoid them? YES.

What I don't get is how 95% of JP players can say... English No Thanks but me saying I don't want to party with them some how makes me a bad person? Well then I'm a bad person. Deal with it.

Thats cool, I can understand that. I guess the whole 'you taking pride in the fact that you got to 75 with [Japanese][No Thanks] in your search comment' gave me the wrong idea.

As a BRD. :D The most sought after EXP job. I do take pride in it. So now they could see what we feel like for a change. I enjoyed it especially when they'd ask me anyways and I'd have to remind them of it like they do to us. Call me an ass for showing some justice. :D

See but thats where it kinda turns the corner, because as said before they might just be doing it because they are embarrassed of their speaking skills etc. whereas you are doing it in a malicious kinda way which isn't really 100% justified. So it was more of you taking pride in the fact that you can be a jerk, which is ~eh~
But who am I to tell you how to play the game right :p im just a JP [English]PT[No thanks.]

Thats bullshit to assume JPs are embarrassed of their english skills and thats why they dont PT. That may be A reason for some, but not all.

When I was leveling RNG and NIN, I'd go to bed with flag up and JP no thanks up from time to time.

Truth of the matter is, most of the time i don't care who is in my party as long as we're rolling xp. If the party is average or mediocre, thats when it matters.

One time I even got an invite by my jp friend on NIN when I had comment up. Me and him laughed in tells, then come to find out, one of the JPs had NA no thanks in his. We got a kick out of it.

Of course not all of them are gonna have that reason, however I do assume that SOME of the JP have the flag up for this reason.

Sigh, if any of the JP ignore you when you ask for party or something, just do what i do normally.
/blist add <name>

Easy as that, that will save you from encountering the same "racist?" people again. My blist is growing and growing, i hope it there is no max for blist... is there?...

The last time i remember , English players wouldn't help you for shit even if you asked, nicely or rudely or even begged for it.

Back in the day there were barely any 75 NA players, and you literally had to use an alliance of 50 range and mid 60 players to get most of anything done.

Full alliances wiping to Lich's in EC, 2 parties to farm coffer keys, AF3s needed full alliances.

Now you can do all of that shit with 1-3 75s, and there is overabundance of level 75 NAs.

New people don't have any idea what it took when the first few waves of players passed through the 50s (when most obstacles were) because every LS has at least a small group of 75s in it, or has friends who are 75.

I didn't meet a NA level 75 player till I was doing G2 at level 55ish.

Getting help is too easy now a days in this game.

Debatable bro, alot of the time it has to benefit the person helping in some way, shape or form.

Even if it's just mere recognition that they helped...

I wasn't here for the old days, and I agree on the idea that getting help must be exponentially easier than it used to be; however I still see people who look for help only to have a group too small to handle the task or one with common goals but uncommon play time.

Just had a funny thing happen and I thought I'd share.

I play in the same time zone as Japan, so I'm used to being ignored when I'm trying to build a party. I usually try and think positive and just assume that when I don't get a {No thanks} that they are afk. Anyway, I send a tell to a japanese WHM who is lfg and get no reply. No biggy, just try the next WHM down. Anyway about 5 minutes later I get a japanese tell from the WHM followed by a {mistake}. BUSTED! I knew they just ignored me all the time. I sent a tell back saying <-- Australian {I'm sorry. I don't speak Japanese} and suddenly the WHM is sending me tells apologizing for not replying. To top it off, his english was actually pretty good.

I don't get where their NA hate comes from. There are good players and bad players from both countries, and it's just plain rude to assume every english speaking player is NA and therefore don't even deserve the effort it takes to say {No thanks} to a party invitation.

JP Only in seacom? Fine, I won't ask because I don't speak japanese. And hell if you're gunna be the only japanese person in the level range seeking and would rather lfg for another 8 hours than *gasp* party with some people that speak a foreign language, all the power to you, that's commitment.
