I don't think he's focusing so much on the morality of it and what the GM's think about it... He's focusing on the fact that you had 4 extra computers/PS2's at your disposal. Thats 4 more than the average FFXI player has. It doesn't make you a better FFXI player, it just means your willing to waste more money than just your fee of $13/mo to play an online game. Doesn't prove anything about your character in game. Same with people who buy gil. You can invest more money into the game, so of course you're going to appear better equipped and whatnot. When it comes down to it though, skill-wise ignoring equipment, your on the same level as everyone else. Thats how you make yourself really stand out.

Do you really think anything WSM says has merit? I do NOT have 4 extra computers and I do NOT have 4 extra accounts. The closest that rings to the truth is I borrowed a friends computer and account for a relatively short period of time while they were on vacation, and 2boxed.

And no, that isn't what WSM was focused on. From day 1 he has accused Phraust, Rinas, and I of being bots, because, simply, we're far better than him.

I don't really know WSM, he's in my Dynamis shell once in awhile, but beyond that I don't really talk to him nor hear about him. See, one thing about FF that we can all agree on, (I hope) is that this game does not take much skill.. Therefore equipment makes you stand out from others. agree with this but the other side of the coin just because a person has the equipment does not make him a good player, just a player that spent lot of time farming or must likely a person who has a fat cash flow to buy his fortune in the real market trade. <buying gil>

Work in real life is necessary for most of us. It's not a game. It has games in it, but you can't make it through, at least in NA or Europe, without working.

There are two types of games. Games for fun and official competition. All games played for fun have competitive components, and all competition has fun, but only in strict competition must you "work." You don't "work" when you play volleyball with your dorm-mates. You "work" before playing volleyball with Nebraska. That's what practice is for. Practice is work. But even when you play Nebraska, you're not working. You're playing. You're competing. Because you don't work in a game.

If you play this game to compete, which is ironic considering this is basically all vang lived and breathed for 8 months, and I suspect all you other losers play for as well...of course you see it as work. You "practice." You "train." The game isn't a game to you. It has games in it. That's not even funny. That's flat-out pathetic.

For the rest of us who play and don't compete, we don't work, and the thought is ridiculous considering the fact that all these millions of gil in gear don't really make you a better player. They don't even make you a better performer unless you parse it down to the undetectable statistic.
