Did I say that things were bad? Show me where I said things in your shell were bad. But since you want to come at me like that you might want to talk to her.
Just came across that way to me given how defensive Pers members have been in this thread. I apologize if I misinterpreted.
To the thread itself, I think people are missing the big picture. Sure, the latest trend in dynamis lately has been more internal/closed shells popping up
and it seems like only they are getting targeted. What might be a problem on the grander scale is the overall number of dynamis shells in general. For the internal shells that are having great success, good for them. I can't blame them for wanting to go that route especially if they have the backing from within.
The only thing that gets to me is having to see more and more shells pop up on the scheduling forums and even worse, shells interrupt runs that don't have the common courtesy to post their schedules at all, especially when members there are active on QCDN.
I've had members of Pers and members of Fury leave my shell to participate in their own. I will never go on record to say that I liked having to see maybe a few of those people go, but what I can say is that I was aware of the situation ahead of time. A couple members of Pers told me months before that they were in plans to do their own dynamis. Unfortunately with Fury I had found out myself and really got no explanation until I started asking questions. I've had members "taken" (as people put it) on two occasions. I don't think anyone ever left for Epitome. On the other hand, I know what its like to be considered as someone who was accused of putting a gun to people's heads. Thankfully that declaration was made public on here and defended more than necessary.
At the end of the day, what can you really do? It sucks that I have to schedule with 5 other shells on tuesday nights and it sucks that new shells keep popping up, making more clutter in the scheduling and then breaking in a few months just for another one to pop up. This thread is quite pointless and a neverending battle.
I don't care that people think I'm in it for a cash cow. I have maybe sponsered 5 or 6 runs in my last two years. I don't care people think I'm a loot whore when I have only half the high level jobs as my members do. I'm there for the reason to be there with my friends and to have fun. I'm there to try my damndest to get my tanks shadow mantles some day and I'm there for those people that just want to beat DL. I will be there when Damita gets his Aegis and Mak finishes his axe. I don't really care if the three people from Fury's shell happen to all be officers and I really don't care if its the same way with Pers. If they can do their upgrades that way, good for them. I don't care when people tell me things like Achates and Jyakotsu are saying "I hear he's only in it for himself." Good for you guys to think that. The only people that matter and should matter to anyone for that fact are the people that are still in your shell. If you're not in my shell or you left it then I couldn't really give two shits about what you do and where you go. Whats the point of focusing outside it?
You can't expect loyalty when it comes to dynamis on differing levels depending on if your shell is external or internal. I've seen a lot of times where people would just rather bolt off to greener pastures when you hit a rough patch no matter how well you try to take care of them. We had a few bad runs and shaky attendance for a couple weeks and a guy we let sponser runs and even got an attestation for ran off like his house was on fire. All I can do is shake my head and say "Thats too bad."
Again though, if you want to blame someone for dynamis problems don't blame the people that took 4 or 5 members. Blame the community as a whole that has a hundred different shells making recruiting good solid members harder than ever.
