You may have not said it yourself but this is where I pretty much came to the conclusion that you are "placing blame on your members."
Here's one. Notice the bolded part.
To this day there are STILL MEMBERS who do dynamis with OTHER shells and we do not penalize them. Do we like it of course not, that's why we've ASKED them to migrate. In the end the choice, like I've stated before, lies with the members in question IT IS THEY"RE CHOICE to stay in their current shells or migrate over BUT like I've said before the majority of our shell just WANTS everyone under 1 shell but we cannot force ANYONE and we don't force anyone to migrate.
Oooh peer pressure can be a bish.
Majority+all.....= everyone?
And another....
The only reason I even brought up dedication was because I was accused of threathening to break pearls BUT during the meeting about dynamis etc we also talked about tardyness jumping between those two subjects an officer said "If you're not dedicated drop your pearl" which was aimed towards those who show no respect for others time.
I brought it up to make it clear i never threathened to break anyone's pearl by doing dynamis with other shells. and that MEMBERS COULD have mis-interpreted that comment as directed towards dynamis. As the person who made the comment has in all seriously trouble explaning himself I've just played with him long enough and knew who he was directing that comment to.
You should have made absolutely, 100% sure that everyone was on the same page. No misunderstandings, misinterpretations, nada. Not "could."
And when we address LS issues we do not speak to individulas directly most of the time we talk in out in the LS so everyone that's there knows and understands the situation. We try and let everyone to get they're opinions in on the matter at hand.
Now, let's just say not everyone was on the same page. Maybe they weren't exactly paying attention or their cat jumped out the window or something.
I think people are pretty sensitive when they see the words "break" and "pearl" in the same sentence. Yes, misinterpreting can happen, misunderstandings can happen. As a leader, you have to make sure you get everyone's input/feedback.
I never threathened to break anyone's linkshell. It was stated by other officers if a members was not ready to do end game events and cannot be dedicated they're free to drop the LS.
To this day we do not penalize or give extra points to those who do or don't do dynamis with us. Dynamis is in a category of it's own. WE HAVE SIMLPLY ASKED members to consider switching because the MAJORITY wants 1 shell and ALL members to do everything in-house TO STOP SCHEDULING CONFLICTS. I have never forced people to leave I told them all to THINK and CONSIDER IT. To this day there are still people who have scheduling conflicts because of their prior engagements BUT we deal with the missing members and Keep doing what we do.
Again with the peer pressure.

As far as WHEN I told my members about this; it was about two weeks ago that we had a meeting about this issue. As far as members disappearing over night that was not how I wanted them to leave a shell IF THEY DECIDED to leave. I told them to leave in the best possible way without ruining they're reputation so if it takes a month, two months, 3 months ir order for them to allow they're dynamis shells to find and train replacements and also work off what they've obtained I was all for it. IF you have a problem with members leaving overnight take it up with the person that left. In the 2 weeks that've we've been doing dynamis I have seen only 1 person that said they were already in another dynamis shell but did a run with us. So if there are more that left and are saying they're now doing dynamis with us that is not the case.
Did you make it clear to your members about the way of leaving the other shells? Did you say that you would not mind if they didn't join the rest of the members immdiately? From what I'm guessing the people that did leave Spiftastic were not given 2 weeks notice. I'm not one of the officers so I can only assume so much. If they were, they would have told the officers the possible 2-week notice. Perhaps some did do that.
Take it up with the person that left overnight? Please.
If they left overnight like that, sure there's going to be some beef.
Misinterpretation and reading between the lines are two entirely different things, the fact that you blatently said we want dedication vs skipping out on events was clarified when you said we want you all to be in our dynamis linkshell IE. when you said you wanted people to be in epitomes linkshell. This was stated here as well as when a friend of mine told me about your linkshell's meeting.
I'm just quoting this one for emphasis.
So from reading all that, it did sound to me that you were indirectly saying "Don't point fingers at me, point it at those who left!"
Now in all seriousness, a leader has to make sure the officers AND the members to be on the same page.
If you had told them that they can join up with you guys for dynamis eventually, that there is absolutely no pressure, probably we wouldn't be seeing this trend of losing members.
Peer pressure can be a bish and so can misinterpretations. Maybe thats why some people thought they were given an ultimatum so to speak.
