As for doing same things over and over again, I'm not 70+ for a reason. You're trying to coast by not trying to do good at your job by using the PL as a crutch; why should anyone let you? Why would you want to? If you find leveling and using subs boring, perhaps you need a change of main job or how you look at this game.


I still don't see how not having a sub is 'different' in such a way that you would want to do it. You can play however the hell you want, don't complain when people don't want to play with you. And with that, I have little else to say.

how am i coasting? im still controlling both char's to help the party arent i? im still working hard for my xp arent i? i still do my rdm and whm things arent i? so how am i coasting? i didnt have my friend to babysit me like other pl's do. its only coasting if im slacking off and not doing my part in parties. or have my rdm just sit there and leech while i only control the pl.

This flame was started by Celvantes who can only say " Nothing more needs to be said " then people have just jumped on board with their views which is what this board is for. So why say to this person who was defamed to go away they are not wanted here ? If they want to level a job to 75 with no sub job I can't see the harm, if people don't want someone without a sub job in their party then don't invite. This person was upfront and didn't hide the fact they were without sub job, I bet Celvantes took the EP. It sounds like he knew what he was doing and to me thats all that matters but thats my view. This person has now put accross he's views on this forum but is told to go away !!! if you don't want to read what he has to say then don't, just skip it. And to Krazeyt I'd like to see if you can level it to 75 but thats only my view.

you not getting that party cuz of some other dude having a friend to PL him.. well blame it on that dude that brought his friend. not the PL. PL is just being nice or doing him a favor or just bored. and again.. my PL is controlled by ME.

I have been generalising through this thread about the stance many take towards bringing a back-up higher lv character along, nothing personal against yourself, just your thread got me going.

therefore my focus is on the prty.. not someone there babysitting me. i dont blame them for not inviting a rdm in dunes anyways. i think rdm's are hard to get prties before they got convert and refresh.

On this last bit I will agree with you, most partys dont know what to use a rdm for at lower levels, I actually got told by one party leader when I enquired about a vacancy in party at 33/34 "What do I need a rdm for? I get Dispel off my Blue mage!"

Much like refresh most people seem to think rdm's are one spelll-wonders incapable of any other function....

I have found some really good replys and I have found a lot of not so nice replys in this thread. If this person wants to level without a sub job where's the harm if you don't like it leave the party or don't invite them in the first place. Celvantes did what a lot of us would have done he picked the e/points but unlike most of us he started a flame, this flame. Nobody will ever agree on how a job should be done so lets move on to another victim who does need to be flamed.

Just to clarify, Diremites (tarantula looking spiders) have tier 2 slow, while the other spiders like the ones you XP off of in Quicksand caves in the mid to late 40s is tier 1. Or at least I'm 99% sure it's tier 1, but the Diremites for sure are tier 2.

Actually, I did find someone else. And while I did put this on the flameboard, it started out as merely a warning to others who were building mid-level parties like I was.

Curaga, Divine Seal, more MND for better white mage enfeebles (slow, dia, paralyze), and AoE bar spells. Also re-raise. I'm sure there are some other things I'm missing.
