Keryan... I may have said once there is more than one way to play a job (and I still hold that reasoning as true) however if I'd ran by you as a lv 41 PLD with NO subjob would you and Dagoat have ever staticed with me? That is the issue here nothing else. I would not not expect to ever get past square one with most players in this game as a pld with no sub, not even if I was dual boxing a 75 whm to make the deal sweeter.

You are comparing apples and oranges here, yes people have the right to play the game any way they wish to, what they do not have is the right to 'expect' that this entire server gives them a free ride to 75 just because they are too lazy to level a subjob. This isnt some 1 million gil scroll we are talking about this is as basic as having subjob, its like a warrior not carrying a GA and decides he's going to use staff all the way to 75.

And btw I have been that unlucky rdm looking for a party and not getting it, I once had an invite to party in dunes but was then informed midway to party I wasnt needed cause they decided to get an extra warrior with a PL in tow, so that day I didnt get to party because I didnt have a goddamn PL to babysit the team. I'm sorry if I seem bitter about this but I always thought that good mages were born from the challenges of the dunes and qufim and the jungle.

you not getting that party cuz of some other dude having a friend to PL him.. well blame it on that dude that brought his friend. not the PL. PL is just being nice or doing him a favor or just bored. and again.. my PL is controlled by ME. therefore my focus is on the prty.. not someone there babysitting me. i dont blame them for not inviting a rdm in dunes anyways. i think rdm's are hard to get prties before they got convert and refresh.

Btw, a Rdm without Poisona is like a Pld without Provoke. They're both gimps no one who takes pride in what they do wants to waste their time with.

If that was true my dear Jyak they wouldnt ask PLD's to sub Ninja instead of Warrior alot in many situations. I was asked to in Limbus recently, so maybe Pld is more than just a voke, in fact read Keryan's mammoth post An adaptable situation if I ever saw one. I am also debating the finer points of situations in times gone past.

Yet they are invited as main healers often enough to warrant getting a subjob.


I was one of those White Mages too, and back then, it was a little bit more acceptable to not have Erase at 32, yet I got it before I hit 40.



This is true, but /BLM also offers many more spells and versatility than DRK. What's a RDM going to do with Last Resort? By that point, a /whm or a /blm have gotten the appropriate Seal.


Those players who zerg Kirin, I'm sure, have plenty of merits and great super duper gear.



Cure 3 does not generate nearly as much hate as Cure4. Most RDM main healers have a back up healer, and if you both cast Cure3 on the tank, everything should be fine. I've main healed on my RDM, my SMN, and even my BLM.
If you don't like those fire spitting crawlers, ask to go somewhere else.


I think Diremite slow overrides Haste but how often do you really fight those.

EDIT: Changed options caused me to skip over your last post. My point is don't complain when people call you gimp for not having a subjob when... you just might be gimp for not having a subjob. As for doing same things over and over again, I'm not 70+ for a reason. You're trying to coast by not trying to do good at your job by using the PL as a crutch; why should anyone let you? Why would you want to? If you find leveling and using subs boring, perhaps you need a change of main job or how you look at this game.


I still don't see how not having a sub is 'different' in such a way that you would want to do it. You can play however the hell you want, don't complain when people don't want to play with you. And with that, I have little else to say.
