Fake Bazaars and the Douchebags Who Make Them

Well I suppose instead of all out bazaaring some items for 9999999, you can put a message in your bazaar comment. Like:

You know? Bet people would still complain about it though...

honestly the best way to describe this thread is the equivalent of drivers bitching about bumper stickers.

"Aw man it was there and I read it. Totally wasted like 2 seconds of my life, and I read like 10-12 a day. That's like hours of my life wasted reading bumper stickers!!!"

>_>

Sorry if other peoples fun is giving you grief, so they want to bazzar a worthless item, let them do as they please in a game they pay to play just like you do.

Next you'll start ranting about people spamming magic on Gurfurlur the Menacing in Beseiged. :)

Oh shit, maybe I should stop doing that before I get flamed!

Interesting thoughts on that. Meds? Food? I get everything I need from the Auction House when I need it, since people's bazaars tend to have 1) prices over the AH listing or 2) one or two pieces of food for a slightly reduced rate.

I used to bazaar Silent Oils overnight in Sky way back in 2005. Using a feature as it's intended to be used doesn't require some kind of alien thought process.

Hell, I bet my character still has echo drops and some oils set in the bazaar.

I'm not saying it does. Hell, I used to AFK with lowbie foods outside of Selbina for parties coming through. That said, people who AFK with a bazaar in an obvious location like that aren't trying to move multi-million gil items, or show off. Its when people idle in the midst of the Jeuno market or Whitegate that its a little overboard.

Its the equivalent of buying a stall at a flea market to showcase things with no intent to sell in the middle of a shopping location and having a novelty license plate or bumper sticker. One is intentionally drawing attention to something useless, and one is just an expression of someone's interests.

Wow. I could at least understand Urat's post.

That said, I've often seen people put prices on items that ARE the date.

You know, to signify a signed chocolate from today.

i cant spell for shit lol. but basiclly what i mean is its of no ones concern what people put in bazaar and for how much.

This is the same as hating bumper stickers? Yeah it's the same as hating bumper stickers, if you're using a strip of duct tape for a bumper sticker. It's the same as going to a big sale then seeing what is on sale isn't actually sold there. It's the same as going to a burger king and finding out they aren't actually a restuarant, they just look exactly like one. Sure it's their right to do whatever the fuck they want, but since when does having the right mean we can't get pissed off about it? People reading the menu at dairy queen when they get to the front of the line pisses me off too but because it's their right it shouldn't? Take that point of view the fuck out of here.

so it boils down to wasting your time? Please explain how checking a bazaar wastes time in areas like parties and out of the way. I agree completely with bazaar spots where that does waste time...

But how does it actually waste it out there? Do you have to stand right there while your checking? You can keep running, it takes all of 4-5 steps to check bazaar exit exit...

Honestly, everyone is not going to agree on this so why not just agree to disagree?
People who put items up in bazaars that are of sentimental value do it because of the sentimental value it holds for them. You may not like it but it is well within their right to do so if they wish it.

They probably like to see it that they have it, or to show the person who gave it to them that they still have it. There really isn't any fault there except that people who check them and find there's nothing up for sale, get upset. They can get upset over it but thats not going to make people to stop doing it either.

Plenty of people who play this game already know of some places that ALOT of people bazaar stuff like Upper Jeuno, or by the warp taru in Whitegate by the MH, or in Balrahn Way in Whitegate.
Usually they are afk, idling away hoping something would sell.
In the mix of those places you'd find an occasional bazaar that really doesn't fit in with the rest because they are not selling anything. Perhaps the items they were selling sold and they haven't waken up or came back from school or work to move.
One simply cannot just flip out just because they feel like people wasted their time when they were the ones looking through the bazaars.

People who complain about being checked while having a brown sack by their names are the ones who need to relax. Obviously, to the other person, you're "selling" something so that is within another's right to see what it could be.

Bitch and complain all you want but this problem won't go away.

Oh, so you play Monk...

I'd say he's playing a caster.

You can't even walk while casting.
