Fallout 3

My backlog is freaking gigantic, and since Fallout 3 came out... more stuff have come out that I've bought and am not finished with either. Luckily for Fallout 3, I love it a lot and am going to be finishing it at the expense of playing other games. I can't justify timewise however getting an expansion for it. Just to put my backlog in perspective...

I've yet to beat Elder Scrolls: Oblivian
I've yet to beat Burnout Paradise.
I've yet to even start Valkyria Chronicles.
I've yet to beat Lost Odyssey.
I've yet to beat Ninja Gaiden 2.
I've yet to beat Mass Effect.

These are all games I want to beat. Not even talking about games like Halflife 2 that I don't really like, or Hot Shots golf 5, that I play only with other people offline.

Not even counting up all my downloadable titles I want to finish, like Wipeout HD and Puzzle Quest. Then there's all the games from PS1, PS2, Gamecube and Xbox I have to play. The PS2's has maybe 30 or so RPGs I want to play. Most of which are probably better games overall than the high def games I'm playing instead of them.

What I'm doing right now mostly is play Resistance 2 co-op online, trying to max out my medic. Feels like I've got like 20 hours left before that happens, and before that's done, Prince of Persia is coming out. Luckily, nothing I know of I'm interested in is coming out after that until like... March.

I've got a finite amount of free time. Some days I just wake up, do classwork until it's time for work, go to work, come back, and do classwork until I fall asleep. It's probably going to be like that for another 18 months until I get my masters. So yeah... Fallout 3 DLC is not really on my radar. 18 months from now, when I have a regular 40 hour work week, I'll be interested - but before then I'll have sold my copy or traded it and I'll be spending $20 on a plat edition with all the DLC included rather than $20 on the DLC.

You really don't have to justify why won't be getting the expansion lol. You don't got time for it, fair enough <_<

Wondering if anyone else is having problems with continuous game freezes in the same area. I'm playing PS3 version. I keep trying to go to the Arlington Library on the southern portion of the map and my game freezes every time I go down there.

I finally just lied to Moira and told her it was destroyed to finish the quest. I actually ran through that area one time following the storyline, but it won't let me go back now.

It freezes quite a bit for me too, Kodi. I hate it and am thankful for those auto-saves when it happens.

And Damn! Did not know there was more down loadable content and that it won't be for PS3 ; ;.

I'm curious, is their really 200 endings? I only know of 8 for sure...

Spoiler:

1. Don't destroy the master computer, Inject the virus, let her die
2. Dno't destroy, inject, kill yourself
3. Don't destory, don't inject, let her die
4. Don't destroy, don't inject, kill yourself.
5. Destroy, inject, let her die
6. Destroy, inject, kill yourself
7. Destroy, don't inject, let her die
8. Destroy, don't inject, kill yoruself.

I think there are also many quests that add various 1 liners into the ending which I guess technically make it 200 different endings. Not as grand as they made it sound though

I understand there is no time for you Fire. Just at some point down the road i recommend you check it out. I have cut down my competative time online so i can finish up some of my games. Thankfully CoD5s online sucks hard so i wont miss it...

On Fallout...

How the F do i get the Head of State quest to not glitch...
I have tried the quest like 5 different ways.

What do you mean glitch? What's glitching about it?
They gather at the Metro Station near the memorial, not actually at the memorial. Took me awhile to figure that out (I've waited like 5 days, wtf are they kinda thing)

Yeah. Just head to the stairs where a group of dogs attack(ed) you. Just keep resting until they show up. You'll know because it'll interrupt your sleep cycle. And you'll be A-O.K.

I will try to wait longer then...

I had tried this the evil way and the slavers never turned up at the slave area. I then tried this the good way and the slaves never poped at the station near the memorial... I have fastfoward the time a little and they did not show. I then looked up this quest and there are nothing but threads on the net about it being a glitched quest. I hop eit works.

I did the evil way. When the slavers headed out, their position on the world map got a quest marker on it. I just constantly fast traveled everywhere watching their quest markers until it finally stopped near the temple of the union.

See that never happend for me... I am going to just try the good way and wait it out for a long while. Its not like one good quest can bring me back from killing every human city in the game off;;

I'm super evil and I didn't even do that cuz evil people get lonely too ;/

How the hell do you give your slave a gun? I have clover and she keeps asking for a new gun and I keep giving them to her in the inventory, but she doesn't automaticly equip them. She equips the armor but not the guns.

Not that it matters now, she's dead.

All weapons except their default require you to give them ammo as well. This is why Charon is so awesome, his Combat Shotgun is crazy strong(it also has very little spread, it's like a giant fist of B.B.s fires out of it,) so very few weapons are better than it. The only weapons I've seen him equip are unique and crafted ones.

for those that seem to be having an issue with the "freezing", just wait for the freeze to end. ive encountered the "freeze" at least 4 times. if you just use patience, it will unfreeze. i promise. you have to wait a good 2 minutes on a bad freeze, but it will usually resolve itself.

Yea, I figured this out too. The PS3 version always froze inbetween VATs and all sorts of other crazy stuff. I didn't find out the game was trying to load until I left the game frozen for a good 5 minutes and it 'unfroze' itself.

I got this game from gamefly last week (hence why I havent posted in a week >_>) the game is amazing I plan to buy it whenever I can afford it <_<

Wait, there's not been a release of DLC yet has there lol? I'll be getting it for sure.

Fire~ I Understand the overload of gameplay you're trying to juggle, I haven't finished Lost Od, Fable II, there are still a number of small side quests I could do on Oblivion however I finished Silvering Isles and the main quest.

I friggin love Fallout3, ain't nothing better than a beefed up Oblivion with guns!!

I was all "woo Fallout 3" when I started playing this game, but then I took a little break and now I find myself not wanting to play anymore.

I still think it's great, I just find myself getting bored of it quickly.
