Fallout 3

Why on earth would someone be angry over a small delay to get broken steel first over operation anchorage. Just skip that garbage DLC all together unless you want completely broken items.

If the man wants 100% Condition T-51b Power Armor at level 4 and a ridiculous Energy Weapon skill sniper rifle that does ludicrous damage and knockdowns on every hit, the man wants 100% Condition T-51b Power Armor at level 4 and a ridiculous Energy Weapon skill sniper rifle that does ludicrous damage and knockdowns on every hit.

Ok I gotta say my favourite quest in FO3 so far is easily Oasis. Harold is just win, especially with Bob.

Edit: I let him live btw.

Not gonna lie, Gauss Rifle is fun to play with. I gave the power armor to my follower though since I love the crouch stealth armor better.

Either way, overpowered items is no excuse to say to not play a DLC <_< Just don't use them if you don't want. (Directed @ make)

I was having trouble just getting my game to even load on my 360.

I bought the newest DLC and I have to say its pretty damn fun. Playing in the alien space ship with all new weapons is pretty sweet. it almost feels like a completely new game and works well as a final send off for such a great game. I am going to miss fallout but i guess it is time for the dev team to get to work on the new version of Oblivion (I hope).

Forget about/never heard of New Vegas? Sure, it'll be a few years, but Fallout isn't finished.

I heard Bethesda jobbed New Vegas out to a third party (Obsidian Entertainment).

Wait is New vegas a new game or a continuation of this one?

I'm not sure where but bethesda said, "They didn't buy the rights to fallout just to make Fallout 3 and be done."

Here check out this IGN article about New Vegas.

It looks like its not related to Fallout 3 but they will probably use the same engine and interface. Rather than re-invent the wheel they are probably going to make new content and story. That sounds fine to me since why screw with what works when you can just tweak it.

Finished Fallout 3. I decided to make a save right before entering the rotunda in prep for the DLC, that way the game won't immediately end.

Well I guess I am officially done with the game played through the main game twice (once good once bad) played all the DLC so i guess there is just nothing else to do. I have to say that this was probably one of my favorite games of all time. The story was great the setting was outstanding and the game mechanics were very well done. If you ware looking for an open world to explore, and a well done FPS/RPG hybrid than I cant recommend the game enough.

Trophy Patch has come!

The last word on when Fallout 3's PS3 DLC would arrive was Bethesda "hoping" to have it out by "the end of of September." Trophies pegged to all the expansions have shown up. Perhaps they indicate a sooner release?

Earlier this week, tipster Dan M. snapped that screen pic of the 22 trophies. Tipster Player X went comparing trophies with someone in his friends list and noticed them, too. They're listed below.

Sit tight, PS3 owners, your wait is almost over. The DLC will release in the same order as it did for Xbox 360, beginning with Operation Anchorage, then the Pitt, Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta. Correction: Broken Steel will be the first expansion, followed by Operation Anchorage, then The Pitt, then Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta.

• Aiding the Outcasts (silver)
• The Guns of Anchorage (silver)
• Paving the Way (silver)
• Operation Anchorage! (gold)
• Into The Pitt (silver)
• Unsafe Working Conditions (silver)
• Free Labor (gold)
• Mill Worker (silver)
• Death From Above (silver)
• Shock Value (silver)
• Who Dares Wins (gold)
• Devil (bronze)
• True Mortal (bronze)
• Messiah (bronze)
• The Local Flavor (silver)
• Walking With Spirits (silver)
• A Meeting of the Minds (gold)
• Bog Walker (silver)
• Not of This World (silver)
• Among the Stars (silver)
• This Galaxy Ain't Big Enough... (gold)
• Alien Archivist (silver)

Wooooooo!

I'm jealous. I wish 360 could have had broken steel first. Still doesn't make sense to buy them though when you can just get the GoTY edition that has all of them.

Good point, I guess it all depends on pricing really and whether old save files will work with the GoTY edition, or whether the Regular Edition and GoTY editions are separate, therefore having their own set of trophies/achievements.

I'm probably thinking too hard about this.

In the case of pricing though, it won't be too bad, I got Fallout 3 for around £23, and the GoTY version is being advertised for around £30 on amazon. The price might differ so I don't know how much it would currently be in the US.

Edit: Also, I might as well point out, it seems that the DLC will be updated weekly on the Playstation Store as we've had to wait so long for it.

Bump. Fallout 3 on PS3 in Europe just got updated to 1.61. Seeing as today is when they update the store, I think we'll be getting the dlc within the next few weeks.

Edit: DLC RELEASE DATES!

Today we released an update for the PS3 version of Fallout 3 that addresses a number of issues, includes some optimizations, and adds trophy support for the DLC. The first DLC for PS3, “Broken Steel”, will be available next Thursday, September 24th. That will be followed by the release of “Operation: Anchorage” and “The Pitt” on October 1st, and “Point Lookout” and “Mothership Zeta” on October 8th.

So, to re-iterate:

Sept 24: Broken Steel
Oct 1st: Operation: Anchorage AND The Pitt
Oct 8th: Point Lookout AND Mothership Zeta.

MUCH sooner than I had anticipated.

Sweet zomie Jesus I didn't expect that, they're a week apart or less. They were originally saying they'd release broken steel, then the rest 5-7 weeks apart or something. This is wonderful wonderful news!

bad news though, is that Aion will be out and will be sucking up all of my time lol

I'd still suggest waiting to get the GoTY edition for a massively better deal.
