And fish bot doesn't give you an advantage over someone with enough spare time to legally fish.

The same rewards without any effort (even being there).Firestreak said:And fish bot doesn't give you an advantage over someone with enough spare time to legally fish.
Courtney said:Fishbots allow your character to fish unattended, for days on end with the only attention required being emptying inventory every few hours or so.
Claimbots allow a character to teleport across a screen to a mob, as it spawns, and to specifically target that mob with an ability.
I'm sure there are ways to do these things legally, but I'm struggling to see them...
At least though, you're now admiting that you only accepted your Shell fleehacking tactics because you wanted to get gear from them. The "But they were my friends and I love them" routine was a bit lame...

Daveman said:I don't really get what's so lame about "that routine", it's the truth for alot of people you know.
Firestreak said:So go ahead, give me your attitude. You only really prove yourself as spiteful, and honestly considering you entered this argument against me saying things that were wrong, I couldn't care less about your opinion.
Firestreak said:You don't know me, you don't even know the basic facts of what my situation was(which is apparent by your false assumptions), so why try and evaluate my motivations?
oh ok >_> thought you meant it more generally since I also mentioned something about friends earlier in the thread.Courtney said:I agree, unfortunately it's not the reason he supported it, it was simple the reason he gave to make himself seem sympathetic to the people here. The real reason comes out later, where he stayed not because he agreed with the practice, but because he wanted gear. Greed.

Courtney said:I entered this arguement when you came in and started your prohacking propoganda. While you keep on claiming that hacking is an acceptable tactic in endgame activities, I'm going to keep giving my viewpoint that you're wrong. I actually care about playing this game, and an endgame on this server where you can only play by hacking is something I'm real happy to fight against.
Courtney said:Your Shell diminished to the point where the members had to fleehack to kill stuff. That's done and well and truely over with. You keep coming into these discussions claiming that it's a viable tactic, and that people should be allowed to hack if they want to. That's what I'm arguing against, and what I'll continue to argue against.
Courtney said:You're right, I don't, and frankly I don't care. You supported, and continue to support hacking as a viable tactic. I personally don't care why.
Kire said:Second TParty is not unfair its something SE should of built into FFXI.
Resson SE did not do windowed POL be that PS2 has limited memory and useing a legal window will have to be on Ps2 as well (do not ask how you can alt tab out of it lol idk) would crash.

Daveman said:It is unfair. If I start casting thunderIV 1 seond before the tp report saying the SC is ready, I'll have to change my main nuke for the MB, or I may completely miss the SC depending on timing.
Now if I can see both sc people are about to reach 100% tp, I can adjust and use tierIII/II spells so I can easily make SC without being stuck casting or waiting on recast, someone on the ps2 could not do this. It's an advantage, although for some reason not frowned upon by the playerbase as much.
Skaw said:Well, Blazn is right for once. You can see party members hp, and mp.. so why not TP? The same goes for Alliance members MP. You can see their HP, so what gives, why not MP?

just out curosity (and yes i know.. curosity killed the cat) but what exactly did you have in mine.:16suspect1:wolfskymoon said:FFXI needs to change the whole claiming thing.Make the game skill and learning based atleast =/ (I mean in the whole hnm camping thingy).
If SE can't figure out to the problem for themselfs, they should contracted it out. Archbell already has a workable program for pc. It should not be to hard to implament something similar to ps2 and xbox. (Honestly I think it SE way we dont want to send any money revising a old system.)Daveman said:I do agree, and I use tp-plugin myself, but I'm also fully aware I have an advantage over a ps2/xbox360/nonwindower player. It is a cheat in the sense of it, maybe a "minor" cheat, but still a cheat. To say "that's how it should be" is lying to yourself to justify it, fact is it isn't there without a 3rd party program.
