Hey im just starting out, not reading much of this because of possible spoilers but, how do you get to the next stage on the Crystarium? On Vanille for example Ive completed all the crystals under Medic, how do i move on to lv2?

You get them throughout the storyline.

Only if you're not going for treasure hunter. Could be wrong, but seems like a mistake IMO. At least you found a place you're comfortable farming in ^^

Oh I'll be going for Treasure Hunter I just intend to buy more lances when needed and enough mats to level it up. It's roughly (overestimate) 1.5 mil to level it up all the way. And then dismantle it for 3 traps. Sure cheaper. Once I have the 6 best (imo) weapons upgraded for each to max, then I'll just worry about farming more money and stuff to buy even more of the items and upgrade em too. Really though, I make a ton of money the way I go perfumes and scarlite, when I sell them off in stacks I get about 1mil in like an hour or two of farming. Prolly closer to 2.

Depends on your luck. I have only had 2 Trap's drop while about 50 Platinum ingots drop for me. It was far easier for me to Just desynth Belladona two times. I may end up just buying the Dark Matter for most of the other upgrades.

I hear you... A friend of mine has had more Traps drop then Pingots. While another friend is having the same luck as me with only getting Pingots lol. For your situation you dont need to break down an ultimate weapon.

Im getting alotof items from spoils, but what should and shouldnt be sold? I havent sold a single thing worried that it might be of use

Credit Chips, Incentive Chips, Cactuar Dolls, Perfumes, Gold Dust, Gold Nuggest, Platinum Ingots.

Those are the only money items I can think of. Everything else is upgrade item. If I missed anything and it gives only 1 xp in upgrade, its for sale.

Thanks, good to know i can use the rest to upgrade, does it matter what you use for upgrade? Im trying to upgrade magic on some weapons but it seems like it just doesnt get bumped as fast/high as strength

There are 2 types of upgrade items. Beast and mechanical. Beast items increase the exp multiplier. Use them until you have a 3x exp multiplier. The mech items are then used to give lots of xp all at once. If you look at online FAQs I'm sure you can find some list of which ones give you the best exp/gil ratio when you start buying upgrade items.

I found this good answer on GameFaq's question answer thingy about what to sell

The following components only give 1 EXP and should be sold: Credit Chip (500 gil), Incentive Chip (2500), Cactuar Doll (12000), Moogle Puppet (18000), Tonberry Figurine (28500), Plush Chocobo (35000), Gold Dust (15000), Gold Nugget (60000), Platinum Ingot (150000).

Moonblossom Seed and Sunblossom Seed are 6000 and 13000 gil each. They give decent EXP and multiplier rank bonuses, but are better to sell. You can get them from Bandersnatches.

Succulent and Malodorous fruit are only 10 and 7 EXP respectively, but they sell for 1750 and 4000 gil.

There are two high EXP items that have positive mutliplier values (they can raise your EXP multiplier when used), but sell for quite a bit, and are better sold than used. Those are the Green Needle (3500 gil) and Perfume (12000 gil).

DEFINITELY do NOT sell Particle Accelerators and Ultracompact Reactors. They give EXTREME amounts of EXP and even though they are priced well, are best used for leveling up weapons.

I personally farm perfume and scarlite and sell the hell outta those, good money.

Lightning: 21
Snow: 21
Hope: 14
Vanille: 19
Sazh: 40?
Serah: 18
