I'd safely assume they'll go for a simultaneous release in Autumn (Fall) 2010 rather than Spring 2010. That's what my gut's telling me.

On the teaser site the panning picture following the trailer appears to represent all current races. Perhaps even something new? I've been staring at that pic for the better part of half-an-hour now and I could just be going cross-eyed.

Hmm Ill have to take another look at it then, but from what I can see, most of the races represented there look like Hume, Mithra, Tarutaru, Elvaan, and tail-less Galka..........

I'm hoping Eorzea is a land where races of Vana'diel and Ivalice live together, got the Humes, Elvaans, Tarutaru, Galka, Mithra, then we'd have Gria, Aegyl, Viera, Moogle, Nu-Mou, Seeq, Bangaa, and Revs, maybe some Garifs. Probably not that many races, but most MMO's have more than 5 races to be able to choose from, I'd like more races than the 5 from FFXI.

It might be just because of the same races, but i'm feeling a very strong connection to FFXI in some way, and that us FFXI folk won't be left out when it comes time to switch games.

I haven't seen a single crab yet... AWESOME! Hopefully the trailer showing a group fighting multiple enemies means more group fighting during normal exp instead of pull one, kill, pull another, kill, pull and link, sleep one while killing the other, etc.

It's not Vanadiel since it says in the text about "there lies a land embraced by mighty gods...her name....Eorzea"
so I don't think it's gonna be linked to XI except for races...and even then it seems they've made changes to them (no Galka tale etc etc).
