You can ask her, I never had and never will have an e-crush on morwen. I've already pointed out I have no standing with either party, never met Morwen in game, never met BBT or his brother.

I'm not ruining my credibility, I'm standing up for someone who doesn't have the rep to stand up for themselves. A few people decided to rep me down for this, it doesn't matter to me. Frankly if BBT or his brother would have tried to point this out, the thread would have been over at page 2 because no one would take a second look. What she did was wrong, and wrongdoings should not go unpunished. I want if nothing else a future precedent set. Arc said it would be inplace by last night. NOTHING has been done. Don't set self deadlines you can't make.

That is why I'm posting.

No one's asking for her to be banned (I think? Maybe they are but I'm not). Just that more happens than the post (that I don't think anyone can argue didn't violate the "no flaming someone's RL" rule that's currently stickied on the flameboard) being deleted and nothing else being done or said. I'm personally content with the mods "re-evaluating" the rules, though honestly I have a feeling that's going to end badly. We can't just turn our heads and ignore blatant rule violations though or might as well just not have them.

Temp ban would be nice considering the crime. A reevaluation of the rules is definately in order if the current rules don't extend to cover this.

I dont think this is thread crapping at all, I think it pertains exactly to what you are ranting and raving about. OMG! Someone said something you foudn distasteful. Welcome to the god damn internet!

Lots of people say shit that we don't like. Go flame them about it. What else would ya like the mods to do? Ban her, for one thing? Then I would lobby to have you banned for harassment as well. Because I'm with Kage on this, it's exactly what you're doing to Morwen.

It's ridiculous that there are people even arguing about this because they can't understand where to draw a line on what you should and shouldn't say. No one is saying, "NO FLAMING ON THE FLAMEBOARD!" so stop harping on that. There is a world of difference in calling someone a moron or gimp for using bad or underlevelled subjobs and something along the lines of what she said. The first might ruffle some feathers but the second might have someone driving 3000 miles to shoot you in the face. If you can't see the difference or are so naive as to think that stuff like that doesn't happen then go back to Candyland and stop posting here.

She and her prepubescent boy harem should have already been disciplined for constant derailing practically every post around with e-flirting. This is a forum about FFXI, if anyone wanted to see older women flirting with high school boys then they could plop down $19 to any of the thousands of MILF themed websites and see some real action instead of the crap they clutter the boards with. As mentioned before though anyone that even casually browses this site can see double standards running rampant so no one has done anything about it.

I know, I know, someone will bring up, "lern 2 use ignore," but we shouldn't have to put 12-15 people on ignore because they want to derail everything, they should simply be told to cut the shit out. As Meeze said before, let them make their own LS forum where they can e-bone each other til their fingers bleed. I doubt many people complaining actually hate this group so there should be no need to have them on Ignore because I'm sure they have worthwhile things to contribute to topics when not trying to get into each others virtual pants publically.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Morwen the first one that Neolink was stalking? Wasn't she also just involved in an arguement where Jinxy got himself/herself banned for posting some address for her to come get beat up at? Now she is telling BBT, who from everything I've seen isn't exactly the most stable personality, that he and his brother should join their recently deceased parent? It looks like the mods disciplining her would probably be in her best interest since there seems to be a pattern of personal attacks both by and against her. I forgot though, almost everyone on the internet has a Superman complex and thinks they can get away with saying anything they want with no repercussions since they are safely behind a computer screen. Hopefully she'll learn her lesson before she runs across someone crazy enough to take it that far.

It's REALLY mean, but it's still the same thing. You've said something with the intent of making another person feel bad.

I see only a difference in severity, and no reason to call it something different. Moreover, I see no reason to care about it. The only thing in this thread that's valid is that it's arguably a RL flame, and even then, that's an extremely grey area, considering it was posted in the appropriate place still, and that particular rule has been questioned a few times.
 
And thus... what makes a flame - a tight ass stance to any thing controversial, or just the posts people complain about.

Since this is a board support issues board - I've not taken any action on any post despite wanting to delete a couple already. Lets avoid the personal attacks.

and if I were to lock this would it go away -.- its just getting annoying now.
