Flameboard Rule interpretation

You don't need a rule for everything. That's where common sense kicks in. I'd like to think most people have the common sense not to mock the death of someone's family member, but apparently not. That should really be in your head along with "breathe" and "don't jam your penis into light sockets".
 
It was a tad morbid for my sense of humour and definitely in poor taste, but who cares? I agree with Trippy - if BBT had not wanted to subject a very personal issue to public scrutiny, then perhaps he should not have invoked it to sway an argument or garner pity. A little discretion goes a long way.

Either way, one can hardly qualify it as harassment, as harassment denotes persistent or continual behaviour.

This isn't BBT though. BBT brought it up a long ass time ago in a completly unreleated topic. His step-brother or whatever came here, and people used that shit on him.

Also, that whole common sense thing. Yeah....

I think crying to the mods is a poor way to get someone back for a rate down.

Since you said "We know the guy IRL" I'm assuming you're referring to me since I was in Brooklyn with Meeze and Fly. I was also there when Meeze found out that Fly was the one that dropped the hammer on him. It was actually a pretty funny moment. Fly is one of the coolest people I've met from the game, but this really has nothing to do with the topic. It's neither here nor there.

I still don't see where I singled out Fly in my post. The only mod name I mentioned was Arc's so he was sure it wasn't just about him. I even pointed out that I understood that the desicions are collective. I know you're sticking up for you buddy though and also your fellow derailment troop that's in question so I'll let this one blow right by.

Also, the impression I got from the OP was that he wanted justification and wanted to know how the decision was made. I'm pretty sure if this was a personal banning attempt the entire thread would be much different.
 
I've never met Morwen ingame, haven't read half of her posts until yesterday when I did a search on her to find out her character on the boards.

Frankly, she won't be banned because too many e-dicks will stand up for her.

Half of the posts were with sexual undertones, my favorites came from when she tries to pull the bi-sexual tendency card just to get arousal from people on the boards...frankly, it looks like its worked.

But thats besides the point, I'm not on a witch hunt, I wanted clarification as to why this isn't harassment. The only responses I've gotten is "Because it isn't" and "There's much worse"

I also did a search last night on the words die/death/kill in the flameboard. The only posts I could find within the last couple of months that were in anyway as serious as this were in jyak's flame about Romper...which was one of the poorest moments this site has seen.

Do I think Morwen should get banned? Sure do. Do I personally give a shit if she does or does not? Nope. However I do feel that the excuse 'it's a flameboard' is not an excuse. No where in the flameboards explanations does it say wishing death on someone and their family is ok. Its supposed to be in-game topics.

I also can't believe how many people still come in here saying that he brought his own real life into the equation, so he must deal with the recourse. He didn't. He was standing up for his brother. Because he did this, he took many justifiable insults, and one wish of death.

Also to add, if Meeze had tits and flirted with people like Allegretto daily on the board, I'm pretty sure he'd still be here.

I don't know BBT in real-life, but I find him to be cool in-game. Although that might simply come from me not judging people on an online forum like the majority do.

I find it highly hillarious how everyone jumps on the bandwagons. A great majority of people on this forum refuse to party, and most likely have him on his /blist, just because other people flame him on an online forum. I've partied and talked with both BBT and his wife.

You guys have done this to a lot of people. Its pathetic, really. While you haven't actually insulted their real-life in the way Morwenny do, a lot of you judge people on a forum just to be cool and fit in with others. And that's what I've always found pathetic.

Hell, if you pulled that paper bag over your head, you might find that most of the people your hate and dislike on this forum actually have good things to say, and are right. You drive them away and prevent them from posting, though, so you might not notice it since you skip over the posts they actually ARE right on, or you just decide to belittle the post to cover up the fact that they are right.

Whatever puts you in the cool group, I suppose. God forbid your online life gets just as fucked up as your real-life, right?

I'm sure if the situation had as much history as Meeze or the infraction as serious as calling out mods repeatedly anyone would be banned. The fact that Morwen made one smartass comment, that was made in bad taste, doesn't mean she should be banned.

Notice I called you out personally. Please start a new thread about what job to start because you can't make decisions on your own. Having people decide what you say is a great way to introduce yourself to the server.

I was asking for suggestions as I have played mostly mage jobs. Was considering melee. I didn't know asking for an opinion from other players was considered "Flirting".. you'll have to point out that definition to me, please.

I can make decisions on my own quite well, I wanted to see what people would say about the various jobs, maybe learn something new about a job I hadn't considered.

Sounds to me like you just have a stick up your ass, what else would you like to cry about?

I never said it was flirting for you, I said you were an indecisive person who needed others to make decisions for them. You introduced yourself as a someone who couldn't be decisive on your own, I gave you a reply right after that. Go ahead and check it, and realize that you aren't in this thread. Please, stop posting. If you want to see the posts about your and morwen's flirting, I can dig those up pretty quick too...I think you had been on the forum a day or two before becoming sexual, but hey, I won't be judgemental on that.

Well, I guess that's it let me go move on to some other thread, because the Mayer of the Rules has told me to move on. Don't think so. You brought my name into which gives me every right to express whatever I damn well feel like here.

Last time I checked flirting and being sexual were slightly different. If you feel the need to go dig up posts then by all means go for it. I didn't realise you had to ahve so much evidence to support whatever lame ass case you are trying to prove here.

The fact of the matter is you're pissed off because Mods didn't jump on your dick to ban her because it was one comment that was made and it was deleted. The rules stated that inappropriate comments would be deleted and it was, what other recourse would you like to see come from this, hmm? It's a first offense warrented with a warning or 3 day temp-ban, if that.

I've partied with people I've hated on the forum. I've even partied with Colbwa. Then again, I was a DRG, I would have partied with anyone. It wasn't anything special and its not like I sat there saying "Colbwa, you're an idiot" through the whole party. Just because some people judge others on a forum doesn't necessarily mean it carries over into the game when it comes to certain aspects such as an xp party. I'm also quite sure that more people have done something like that than you think, so there's no reason to make is seem like you're a step above everyone because you have.

Parts of these forums welcome judgement. The Flameboard is indirectly FOR judgement. However, those judgements are supposed to entail in-game only issues. I don't even get why there are still warnings when some of these Flameboard guidelines are so old.

Bandwagons? They are all over the site. Thats no news.

Thats the reason I don't put people on ignore. There's a lot of people on here I think are total dicks, but do make good points on things periodically.

Me neither but she's posted bullshit on here about me too and she's doesn't even know me. That's whats funny, people going on what they hear rather than what they know for fact.

Regardless, I have a large epeen bar and if I said something as disgusting as that I would expect atleast a 14 day temp ban. I don't give a fuck who you are, you don't wish death upon someone then say "teehee, they won't do anything" thats rediculous. I've seen people permabanned for less.
