Happened to me too... I improved my grades after getting reemed for it a few times. Upped all my grades like 5% at least but they still brought up shit that I got zeros on months ago, that they already knew about too. I finally got pissed off enough about that and yelled at them how they only look at what I've done wrong and failed to notice that I worked my ass off to get ALL of my grades up... that shut them up and now they only get angry when they see zeros (My school e-mails grades to the parents at work and posts them on the net... fucking sucks).
So maybe if you find something like that you can bring it up and maybe it'll work =/ Although some parents just say "shut up its my house" or something to that extent.

lmao... who pays for your $13 a month to play FFXI? just curious. who bought your computer? who pays the electricity bill? who pays for your tuition (if you're in college), etc etc... add all these factors in and then some and they can do whatever the fuck they wanna do. but that's just life, and reading Beiro's post, you're not the only person with that type of problem. so it's not you... just the way that parents are, that's all.
once you're like me and a lot of others, until you move out and have a nice paying job, pay your own bills and rent and insurance and car payment and cook your own food and buy your own clothes... just deal with it. i know some parents can be really stubborn...

ultra. They pay 13 dollars. But im working and pay for a lot of my own stuff. I payed for half of my computer. They pay electricity. No tuition here. Also going to Junior college so no tuition as of yet.

Personally I never regretted moving out, but money wise I did respect my parents so much more, and am glad I listened to them about my grades, because without my good paying job, i'd prob not be able to be playing this game lol. I"d prob be working 24/7 just to make ends meet.

btw.... My parents still get mad at me for whatever reasons lol. Thats just thier way of showing you they want the BEST for you.

I live in California, it's not bad.
People just make it sound worse than it is. I mean really, $27/unit at my JC isn't bad at all when I hear some of the eastern states are paying thousands a quarter. People just been complaining about it alot lately because they've just recently seen the prices triple. Even at triple the cost it was 3 years ago, it's still really cheap. :lol:

I live in Hawaii, pay here is well not so good (for starting jobs anyway), food here is outrageous, tax in California I just heard at 8.5% wtf??? is hella outragous. I'm just telling her my expieriences jumping out the door thinking I was "free" and being stupid dissin my parents on the way out.

It is here where you will have problems. Out there, no one recognizes you, no one appreciates you, You need to do it for yourself. I have alot of employees who think that I am REQUIRED to appreciate them. While they are right that I SHOULD appreciate them, alot of times the ones who demand it are the ones that get passed over first. Why? Because it gets really tiresome waiting for someone to improve when they want something for it first.
You shouldn't be doing things to get appreciation, you should be doing things for yourself. So that you learn things and so that you KNOW you can do these things and prove it to anyone that wants to know. So that you yourself can say "I am the best, and I know it".
