360 hands down.

Cool. Thank you all so far for the feedback and input. Much appreciated!

360 is great right now, PS3 might be great in a few years.

360 has the biggest and best library of titles out right now. PS3 has some good games, but very few actually worth buying and a lot of those few are multi-platform. In the next year or two, the PS3's exclusive library might expanda bit, but given how many exclusives announced they were going multi-platform this year, that's not guaranteed.

Of course, even if they do go multi platform, you may have to wait a year or more to play it on something different. Look how long it took x-box to release GTA 3/VC/SA.

True, but not many of them are going to involve such huge delay times; especially since the 360 is insanely easier to develop for. The GTA series were really just ports well after the initial release, but most of the multi-platformers are building both releases simultaneously.

Raider, how is it most multiplatform games run better on 360 than PS3? O.o I've not seen a difference in gameplay and graphics I've not seen much of a difference either (one usually brighter than the other). Not everyone wants to play on Live either :P personally I get annoyed of the hooting retards (not that PS3 doesn't have them either -_- just 360 has more.. granted due to more players :P) but ya.. I've always been more single player than multi-player.

I do agree, 360's library is bigger, being better is an opinion though and since most are on or coming to PC I dunno why I'd get a 360 but *shrugs* we'll see.

I'd be willing to bet it's more for the exclusive game selection than the over all game selection as ps3 has more exclusive titles anounced than they have current titles available.

Correct.

Also correct. I picked PS3 for it's future titles, because as it stands right now 360 has more games I'd like to play than the PS3 does. I'm willing to bet the PS3 will be a better overall investment than a 360, in terms of game selection and durability. I was a PS1 player when that system was released, and I was a PS2 player when that system was released, and neither of them disapointed. They were my loyal friends over the years always delivering a healthy supply of amazing games that the other systems couldn't offer. I assume history is going to repeat itself, that's why I'm opting for the PS3.

Edit: Also incase you didn't know UT3 is coming to xbox next year too

This makes me sad.

UT3 on 360 won't allow user mods

Correct answer, both. 360 is without a doubt currently doing better than the PS3. I own all three systems and they all have their high and low points when it comes to playability, graphics, online capability, exclusives, price etc. but I've got to say that 360 definetly takes the cake for me.

Well rounded system, reasonable price, amazing online system, what more can you ask for out of a gaming system? Who cares if the systems crap out occasionally, that's what warranties are for. Until SSBB for the Wii, Little Big Planet and Home for the PS3 come out, 360 is going to be the most played system in my household.

The issues are not with how the graphics look, but with framerates and other issues. Madden had a much worse framerate on PS3 than 360. Assassins Creed has more glitches and freezes up on PS3 where as its good on 360. Also apperently The Orange Box runs like garbage on PS3 and is fine on xbox (all of which i said in my original post aside from the AC part). Personally I couldn't tell you because I wouldn't waste my money and rent/buy a game on both systems, this is just information I've heard on gaming sites and such (i think the madden issue was brough up on g4tv once too though).

Also hooting retards is a dumb reason to dislike live. Sure there are ass hats on it, but I've run into just as many ass hats on PSN or any PC game i've ever played. And the friends list alone makes live a sweet online ap, then again if something is good and people like it you don't so no point in arguing this.

Edit: Heres three articles about shitty PS3 performance all with a magical google search.

I've played both Assassin's Creed on 360 and PS3 and haven't seen one lick of difference O.o nor glitches, hehe. And I didn't know Orange box was on PS3 :P

I put PS3 as I already own a 360. In terms of power, PS3 would get it hands down now that the good games are coming out.

However 360 still has its charms... btw, you forgot the Wii !!! =(

One more game that is so much better on 360 than PS3 is R6:V. Plays like shit on PS3. I have both systems, so I don't care. lol

What if I dont want/already have, the Wii?

I dont want one because I've played it way too much at a friends house and I'm all Mario-ed out.

i chose PS3, but i prefer my pc much more :P id still buy a ps3 over an xbox despite the price because im a huge ff fan and would buy a ps3 just for ffxiii and ffversusxiii they look absolutely amazing and cant wait for them to be released.
