Ok, TMNT: the Hyperstone Heist was a little too easy.

Game: *
Console: SNES (Super Nintendo)

The SNES version of this game never hit US shores, probably due to some of the content, but it did get released to the Playstation and Gameboy Advance some time later, I'm not sure if it retained all the content or not in those later releases.

LMAO i remember that part

Tales of Phantasia it is.

God I hated the fight with Dhaos in "the present" right before warping to the future... dear jesus... he starts with 16,000/65,000 HP and is still ridiculously tough.

Very refreshingly hard game. Too bad the GBA port sucked donkey nuts.

Yeah, Tales of Phantasia, I played it for a bit, but I was distracted with other games and never gave it much attention.

Tales of Phantasia is correct, still <3 this game, no matter how many times I rip though it.

An awesome classic, I can't imagine anyone getting the title wrong.

Question #1: What's the name of this game?

Question #2: Name everyone in the screenshot and any other names they may use, if they do at all in the game.

I know people beat me to it, but meh. =P

Yar Chrono Trigger

Magus/Janus, if we're gonna get into RD/CC, Gil/Magil as well, although only mentioned thru an easter egg in CC, and Prophet previous to the Black Omen in CT
Ozzie and the Ozzie Pants on head "Great Ozzie"
Cyrus
Frog/Glenn

Psh Idk what you guys are talking about that's Chrono Cross! Kidding It's Trigger.

Magus Cyrus Ozzie and Glen

Janus/Prophet/Magus/Gil/Magil/Guile...

Geez, this guy has too many aliases...

... Damn I'm late! and this was the only one I knew for sure /cry

Guile no.. Magus was originally going to be Gil in CC, but they decided it'd be too difficult to integrate his story into the plot, so they renamed the character Guile, altered him to remove his Magus identity and was left in with no back-story, Gil/Magil is only referred to in an Easter Egg at the Chronopolis, but Guile is not Magus.

And yes, I'm a nerd >>

Actually Gil/Magil isn't just referred to in an easter egg in Chrono Cross. Radical Dreamers (the sequel to Chrono Trigger, and the basis for Chrono Cross) has the Guile/Gil/Magil character. Also Serge and Kidd, but that's beside the point for the moment. In RD, it's revealed that Magil is Magus/Janus/etc. looking for Schala hopping through time and such. And since the same character, or might as well be, is in Chrono Cross, you can do the math.
Officially, Square denies Guile being Magus. Unofficially, we all know what's really going on.

As far as I was concerned, Guile was just an alternate reality Magus. The two are creepily similar. And yes, Magus did use a staff, but chucked it after encountering Lavos in the Ocean Palace because it 'didn't work'.

RD= Radical Dreamers via my previous post, so yes I know he was in RD, but RD is no longer part of the Chrono series official continuity after CC, as far as SE is concerned RD doesn't exist anymore.

Unofficially though yes, I like to think of Magil/Gil as Guile, and thus Magus being in CC.
I really wish SE would stop with the remakes/ports/horrid Seiken Densetsu titles, and bring us Chrono Break.. or w/e the 3rd one would be called, but they just abandoned the series ><

Most of the original team behind CT/CC left, so I doubt we'll ever see a Chrono 3, but I can dream.

Well, I wasn't looking for anything outside of just Chrono Trigger since I know very little about CC and such. The correct game was Chrono Trigger and the characters were Magus/Prophet/Janus(top), Ozzie(top-right), Cyrus(bottom-right), Glenn/Frog(bottom-left). I'm going to accept at least one of the alternate names if there was more than one due to the over-complication from the CC references ^^;

This is the last of the games in this series of gore-fest games, I had some better screenshots I tried to take, but I pushed the screenshot button for another program by mistake and didn't actually take them XD.

im going to take a really wild guess and say splatterhouse (dont know which)

Shit, I think that's Splatterhouse 3, which I remember left me scared as a little kid. There was one level where you had to rescue a woman before worms ate out her brain, if you failed you were treated to a close up shot of here face looking all demonic and hideous. Yeah, playing that game late at night was not a smart idea. Also another level had a teddy bear that would kill a baby if you didn't make it in time, this game was fucked up for it's time.

Splatterhouse 3, indeed...
