gear in signatures.

I had everything in my sig back when it was made (by Elpon btw), but I have since then sold my Celata and Balmung.

There are two kinds of people who put insanely rare gear in their sigs that don't have them.

The first kind are those that are 20+ levels away from being able to wear it and don't even have a level 75 job.

Second kind are gimps that use af1 only still at 75 and think +str rings are better to TP in.
 
I'd rather see lots of pretty relic gear and crap even if the person doesn't have them. Nobody wants to see sigs full of lizard/errant/whatever else ugly gear people wear. Sigs are supposed to look nice, a lot of the most practical gear to use doesn't look nice and doesn't match.

Also yeah, Raider wins the thread because of that awesome sig.

Neophyal and Skyan, just wondering who's the designer for your sigs?

Those chinese characters looks cool but they don't mean anything, if you guys want I can send you the chinese name of stuff like asuran fist or relic GKT. Those might be better compliment to your sig.

i wouldnt, not if they dont have them. it takes away from the people that truly have worked hard for those items. :(

actually skanya made them '-' so you're talking to the person who made both of them when you said skyan (think you meant skanya '-')
 
After asking for a signature from Skanya recently, unfortunately I got one with a number of errors in it. The funny part was me being an Elvaan. I think my text signature will do fine. (Well, unless I can find the neat one Ithenas made for me a long time ago and update it.)

But there's a difference between artwork signatures (like Pasquale's) and a signature that purports to show what your character looks like in game.

For that matter, I think my forum avatar looks cool, even though the gear combination is goofy.

First thing I said when I saw it was "why the random kanji"? Second was: "That's not me."

EDIT: Found the sweet sig Ith made, when I had my old Crimson Gloves and not Duelist's yet.

It doesn't matter that I'm not in that linkshell anymore, I'd use this signature over the other one even if I was the correct race (Hume) in both.
Also, EDIT BUTTON WHAT THE HUH?

I don't think I've ever seen a sig that confirms or denies the player has the gear on display. It may be implied, but sigs don't have to be factual gear catalogs; they're self-expression, and in that regard all sigs are art.

As a pet peeve, I guess there are worse ones you could've chosen... but there are also plenty of better things.
 
My sig has the RSE I don't have anymore, [I'm sorry.] ._.


The writing does actually mean something, you'll recognize it if you played the Guilty Gear series a lot.


If I -had- made one back at level 50, probably would have had something close to the gear I have now, because level 75 gear just looks better than level 50 gear. Except for Dune Boots.
 
I wish I had this gear in my sig, but alas, I am a gimp ;(
 
I have this gear. I'm proud of it ^.^b And that's AF+1 my RDM is wearing!
