Only one job in the game would equip Bushi over available alternatives.

The biggest draw for Suppa is that it's unique. Where else do you get a 5% DW bonus? Where can you buy that? You can't. Where can you buy 2STR? A lot of places. If you're willing to accept saving a million or 2 gil today for not being able to use one of the best endgame earrings for any job that wants to use two 1-handed weapons, I think that's a shortsighted way to look at things.
So what would a mnk, sam, bst, brd, drg, smn, whm, blm, rdm(non-solo), pup, cor, rng, pld in endgame give a fuck about dual wield? Suppa is great for the jobs that would actually care about dual wield, and I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt with drk, although they'd probably be using a two-handed weapon more often than two axes; but that's still the majority of the jobs that wouldn't gain any benefit from dual wielding. Choosing a Suppanomimi because everyone else has one and they tell you it's the only one worth getting is a stupid reason; especially if you don't have any of the jobs that would actually care about dual wield. I'd rather save 2 mil on an earring I'd actually wear then get an earring I'd never put on.

i think he was just saying that theres a great chance that you'd use a job that uses dual wield.

there are very few players i know(that level multiple jobs anyways.. which most do) that don't have some job that uses dual wield.

I can understand that and it is a really good earring, but it's not the only one that people should ever pick. I'll even grant that it's the "best" DM earring, but not everyone has a dying need for dual wield enhancements and not everyone cares about those jobs; so saying that it's the only earring worth getting for everyone is stupid.

I get more use out of my bushinomimi than my suppanomimi and I have a ninja that could wear both. I've got no regrets about my choice at all, I'll hit slightly slower than a ninja with a Suppanomimi, but I'll also hit slightly harder and will parry more. That's a fair enough trade, since I can actually get use out of a bushinomimi on my other 4 jobs whereas suppanomimi would be useless.

If you're trying to say that 2 STR is going to somehow close a parsing gap over 5% attack speed you're crazy. But I'll say this: If you never intend to play a job that will get a demonstrable use out of Dual Wield (and from your previous example, BSTs and PLDs DO go /NIN in merit parties so there is some use for them there) OR you want to only do endgame as a SAM then yes, sure, Bushi is a fine choice if you don't want to spend 1.3 million on a Triumph.

I'd love to see Square have the earring/ring reward choices cross-server in the next Census.

I take it you've never played bst.

I'd imagine Knight's earring would be a lot better for endgame paladin, with the +5 shield skill and 2 vit. You'd have to ask a career pld about that, but I don't see any pld's dual wielding on hnm's.

No pakomen, I haven't played BST, but I've never seen one go /nin either. It's hard to say they'd get much out of a suppanomimi when you've never seen them need/use the main feature.

Even if Suppanomimi was good for pld and bst, even though it looks about as good for them as it does drk(ie. situational); it's still only useful for a minority of the jobs.

Note to everyone: Bajaratt has said ENDGAME not meritting.

In merits I would consider a suppi for /nin if I choose to go /nin.

Otherwise for my PLD I would take knightly for shield skill that is about it. The VIT+2 doesn't make a big difference. Hell VIT doesn't make much of a difference no matter what end game you're doing.

Do a /sea all 74-75 bst. If you don't find plenty /nin, I'll be shocked.

<insert picture of "you're doing it wrong">

Well, as bst, I rarely am seen NOT nin anymore. With a gaudy harness and two rune axes, there's rarely a need for /whm unless you're in an area that heavily requires sneak/invisible for pulling.

/nin is amazing for bst. From 74+, you will have very little downtime as bst (if any) if you go /nin. For me, personally, I go suppa/brutal. I am one of those freaks who believes bst can actually do good DD with the right gear. And when I solo, I try to do AS MUCH damage as my pet so that one crit grabs me hate every single time. I can blink tank for a moment and that's less damage that my pet is taking, which in the end costs a little more but nets me faster exp than I'd be getting /whm.

Sorry, I love bst. I hear bst and I don't shut up.

0 isn't plenty, right?

Because the server consists of only those 7 BSTs, right?
Not to mention, at least 80% of BSTs sub WHM while soloing. =P

Never said they did, but he wanted me to do the search. I've still never seen bst's sub nin, but I'll take his/your word for it that they do.

Mish to the rescue.

I don't see any "real" bsts on that linup except xgolden. :P

80% of BSTs that sub WHM ARE DOING IT WRONG!!! hehehe.

Sortof straying from the point...but I'd say Beastly Earring probably would be better than Suppano for BST, really. They need the extra acc and unless they have -really- good axes, /WAR is entirely better for them anyhow. But I suppose that's personal preference.

You are so disowned, Mish.... I'm so dissapointed.

Yeah, with my limited knowledge of BST, I would think Beastly earring would be the best for BST by far. It's limited in it's usefulness for other jobs(war/brd only?), but I didn't think that they subbed nin enough to get a suppa.

ahahahahahahaha what

Abyssal Earring pwns balls for drk. You CAN'T buy +5 dark magic skill and +5 scythe skill for an earring, and both are insanely helpful. Of course now I don't want to level ninjar to 75 cause I can't get one, which is why I'm levelling mnk instead. If I ever want ninjar I'll just make another toon or something, not like it's impossible to have two chars with lvl 75 jobs.

Mnk's more fun than ninja anyways. Less to do in endgame, but more fun.

If you re-read the TOS agreement, you'll realize that what you quoted states that SE is NOT responsible for inappropriate conduct, harassment, use of foul, obscene or otherwise inappropriate language by other Users or any third party.

They are not responsible for the brat on the otherside of the monitor cursing their little tongues out.
Also, this section of the ToS states nothing on actions against Users who break section 5.6, article c, and therefore, in essence, yes, it is up to the GM's discretion. However, you can pin them on being hypocritical. How then do you decide what's harassment and what's not? That's all on discretion of the GM.

Sorry, but I'm going to have to side with the GM on this one. Although I'd much rather be on your side and have him slap the kid who was cursing about.

It's blatent harassment, Shit, fuck you! That's never anything nice. I honestly don't give a shit about the language or the harassment, just that its a rmt doing it. No matter what there is never a cause to in /say say "SHIT FUCK YOU!" It was directed to me and my party of friends, and it was public harassment.
