I already covered that, actually, over half the jobs in the game still don't benefit from the suppanomimi at all. The only jobs that would care about sword skill are war(for ridill), pld, rdm(solo only) and blu; all of which were already on the list of jobs that would actually wear the Suppa; none of the other jobs would even care.Rhaddy said:I don't think there's much argument bout the situation if one person is only going to play one job ever, but these days there are many people with a wide variety of jobs. Suppanomimi is probably one of the best earrings because its a lot more versatile than the others, as well as providing a unique enhancement. It's useful not just for /nin jobs, but also for jobs that can use the +sword skill. At the same time, the money saved isn't a big deal either. Money can be easily gotten again, DM earrings can't.
You're assuming that every job dual wields swords to deal damage. If you are going to level and main one of the jobs that uses dual wield, then get a Suppa, otherwise you'll be waisting your choice on something that will get you no benefit at all. I'm not saying no one should ever pick the Suppa, I'm saying that not everyone is going to want it based on their jobs, because it's useless for most of the jobs out there. And while NQ geared jobs can do better than HQ geared jobs with skills and merit, given a situation where both people are putting in the same amount of effort, there are many singular pieces that can make a big difference. Suppanomimi may not be as amazingly powerful as relic, d ring, etherael earring, multi hit weapons, etc but it certainly makes a difference. Even if the difference seems small when compared on a personal level, if everyone in your party/ally/LS makes a similar effort with similar HQ gear, the difference should become more apparent. Its true that a lot of the time that it can just come down to luck, but doesn't that just mean you should strive to control all the other variables to the best of your ability through better gear/skill/merit?
