Good Riddance, MJ

Michael Jackson was NOT a child molester, he was just very very ill and had the money to be exploited as one.

I wrote a paper on the Psychology of the victim of Paedophilia, it by no means makes me an expert, but later in life the victims exhibit a varied but specific set of phobias and other unusual behaviors. Maybe it still will, but its my guess that if these kids were suffering these symptoms as adults we wouldve heard about more lawsuits, therapy is expensive.

Back on topic, the morning radio had a bitchin' remix medley of his songs as a tribute, it was so badass i was late to work because I wouldnt leave my car until it was over.

He will be missed....

To the ArcanePimps, tonight is Michael Jackson night on Ventrillo, i will be broadcasting my entire library.

I agree 100% with Motley here. (and not because we die together in dynamis.)

I'm not arguing with people's opinions, I'm just sharing my own.
On topic though;

I'll always remember him for his music. It was a staple of my childhood. I will always reference the Thriller Video. ^^

Edit: Something kind of creepy I just realized. Most of Wednesday Night, Yopo and I was playing Rock Band Unplugged, and the game kept giving us "1,2,3;A,B,C" as a song in our mystery set. Enough times for both of us to comment how annoying it was to keep playing that song. Funny how things work.

Cool. One less child molester.

He was more of a performer than a musician. I listened to Liza Manelli talk about how much better he was than the beatles and Elvis earlier and it made me want to vomit. What a ++++.

Jackson was accused of child sexual abuse by a 13-year-old child named Jordan Chandler and his father Evan Chandler. The friendship between Jackson and Evan Chandler broke down. Sometime afterwards, Evan Chandler was tape-recorded saying amongst other things, "If I go through with this, I win big-time. There's no way I lose. I will get everything I want and they will be destroyed forever...Michael's career will be over". A year after they had met, under the influence of a controversial sedative, Jordan Chandler told his father that Jackson had touched his penis. Evan Chandler and Jackson, represented by their legal teams, then engaged in unsuccessful negotiations to resolve the issue in a financial settlement; the negotiations were initiated by Chandler but Jackson did make several counter offers. Jordan Chandler then told a psychiatrist and later police that he and Jackson had engaged in acts of kissing, masturbation and oral sex, as well as giving a detailed description of what he alleged were the singer's genitals.

An official investigation began, with Jordan Chandler's mother adamant that there was no wrongdoing on Jackson's part. Neverland Ranch was searched; multiple children and family members denied that he was a pedophile. Jackson's image took a further turn for the worse when his older sister La Toya Jackson accused him of being a pedophile, a statement she later retracted. Jackson agreed to a 25-minute strip search, conducted at his ranch. The search was required to see if a description provided by Jordan Chandler was accurate. Doctors concluded that there were some strong similarities, but it was not a definitive match. Jackson made an emotional public statement on the events; he proclaimed his innocence, criticized what he perceived as biased media coverage and told of his strip search.

The kid and his father were money grubbing assholes, but like Michael said;

"Why not just tell people I'm an alien from Mars. Tell them I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight. They'll believe anything you say, because you're a reporter. But if I, Michael Jackson, were to say, 'I'm an alien from Mars and I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight,' people would say, 'Oh, man, that Michael Jackson is nuts. He's cracked up. You can't believe a damn word that comes out of his mouth.'

Believe what you want. He did not molest children.

This thread is about the death of a fantastic performer, keep your rude insensitive comments to yourselves.

I don't know what to think about this. He had A LOT of talent and I respected to that. But a man who wore 1 glove and invited young children to stay in a place called Neverland sounds a bit suspicious to me not to mention those claims some years ago.

But regardless. I will pay my respects. He released some truly classic music and he should be remembered for that.

R.I.P Micheal.

I'm of the opinion that MJ was guilty of nothing more than being extremely bizzare and allowing himself to be put in situations where people could make accusations such as the one you just described.

That said, it would hardly be surprising to me if something came out and there was hard evidence that he did in fact molest children.

Bottom line is, not you, not me, not anyone except MJ and a select few individuals would have any idea if he really did or did not molest kids. He likely didn't do that one kid, that doesn't mean there weren't others. However we will probably never ever know for sure. Him saying people believed it because reporters reported it is just flat out wrong. People believed it because it was very plausible given his behavior and the people he surrounded himself with. You cannot deny that he was one bizarre guy for the last 15-20 years.

Mother fucker could dance though...

He was eccentric. His father beat the shit out of him and his brothers and even jumped through his bedroom window with a fright mask on while he was sleeping as a warning to not leave his window open at night. He never got a childhood because he was forced to perform. He regressed back to a child like persona, peter pan syndrome. He didn't kidnap kids and bring them home, their parents allowed them to stay there.

Yeh, I feel he just never grew up, even up until he died he supposedly surprised his friends with pillow fights and water guns. He's not a pervert in my eyes.

No one had anything good to say about him until yesterday. Unlike everyone else, I am not a hypocrite and I shall continue to think he was a pedophile just like I did before he died.

And I never liked his music.

Besides, telling someone to keep their opinion to theirself on an open forum is way ruder than making fun of a pedophile.

I think people are forgetting this thread is not about any wrong doings but to commemorate him and celebrate what he brought to this world.

I would gladly make a thread for all those who believe he was guilty of something he was never found guilty of, but I highly doubt you'd exercise good judgment and use it.

* actually the thread is Michael Jackson? to confirm whether the reports of his passing were true, but the nasty comments certainly would do well in another thread for all the haters.

Until you give me proof he's a pedophile, and I mean hard evidence then I'll just think you're being more rude yourself.

I think of Michael Jackson the same way I thought of him Wednesday.

No.

Hence why i say you cant convince a zealot. Mire don't sweat it.

But i will say this. Tripp a person as intelligent as you are should know there is a time and place for everything. Do you honestly think this particular thread is a place for such comments?

With all due respect, you're not Supreme Ruler of the Thread. There is no rule except one existing entirely in your head that says this thread has to be 100% respectful of the King of Pop and sing his praises at every turn. It is about his life and his death, and that means users who are not you may wish to make negative comments as well.

For example, some of us may want to share tasteless jokes like: Why does Michael Jackson like twenty eight year olds? Because there are twenty of them.

Did anyone jump the gun and say Sadam was a good dictator as he hanged? Is anyone going to mourn Charles Manson when he does kick the bucket? You either respect the person alive or dead or your despise the person alive or dead. Just because their dead doesn't mean their slate is clean, we have History books to remind us. Was he a pedophile? Probably. Did he have a fucked up life? Yes. Was he a good singer/dancer? To some yes and to others no. I'm sure half of you who are supporting him now, just last week, made a Michael Jackson joke/preference.
Just because at one time he was considered the King of Pop at a time of his life, doesn't excuse him for being a total fuck up in his later years. Rest in peace, King of Pedophiles.

Holy fuck, I laughed for over a minute at that picture...

And I saw that before I made my comment. My point is that there's no reason to make a second thread for "the haters" when this thread can cover it all in one package.

No, this thread wont cover it, because its turning a thread made in regards to what was going on MJ, to a thread discussing whether or not he was a pedophile. :mob: seriously, stop. If you think bad of MJ, thats fine, you're entitled to that opinion, but please, create a separate thread for it.

I feel there is a point to it because I'd rather not have an argument with rude assholes when some people are still shocked at his death. There was people just praising him before people came in to be stupid and insult a dead man. Just because you feel that he's a freak and don't think he should be praised, doesn't mean everyone who wants to praise him needs to hear those comments. It'd easily trigger an argument. It's like arguing over politics.

I never said he wasn't praise-worthy. I've got my share of Jackson CDs and was listening to "Billie Jean" on my way to work. I just object to the attitude that only one viewpoint is the "right" one in this thread. If a moderator sees differently and wishes to split them up, that's fine.
