Good Riddance, MJ

Why not just split it?

since the folks who dont think highly of him want this thread cant the people who like MJ make a seperate thread with a similar name and all of us be happy? im a big fan and lotsa folks arent thats fair. This is a forum and a place where people come together to share ideas and opinions, doesnt mean theres gotta only be one place. If people who are jerks wanna be jerks let em be jerks and just leave them in thier jerky stew. No fuss, no muss everybody wins?

Done. Please allow others to grieve without persecuting their feelings in the other thread. If you don't like him, feel free to bash him here.

I was really kind of hoping this thread would deteriorate into michael jackson jokes.

I think he was an asshole and I'm glad he's dead. I am somewhat suprised to see that it isn't the opinion of the majority.

Unfortunatly now I just feel like we are ganging up on JP when in all actuality his criticizm was the mildest of the bunch. For that I am sorry. For speaking ill of MJ on the day of his death, I am not the least bit sorry.

He gave no respect to the musicians that made him so much money, even going so far as to outbid Paul trying to buy the publishing rights to his own music.

Not only am I not sorry, I would piss on his grave if I could.

Edit
I can't believe the thread actually got split.

OMG he was so great! lets go dig up John Lennon and bury him in his grave so he can desecrate a real musician one last time, even in his own death. He should be wrapped in a shroud made from the skin of all the children he molested. He deserves at least that much for writing all those shitty pop songs amirite????

Only looney lefties actually believe Jacko wasn't diddling little boys under the sheets. Are you really so surprised considering QCDN is rampant with them?

I'm not.

I'm sure Jacko having a state of the art security system in place to warn him if anyone was even close to approaching his bedroom and the bedroom itself being more secure then a bank vault was just cause he was bored.

He even ADMITS to giving the kids alchol. I know the first thing I do when I trying to get into a bitches pants. I sauce them up.

I truely hope there is a heaven and a hell because where he's going is a no brainer.

Feel so sorry for people who feel big bashing dead people =\ Lemme know when their parents die so I can accuse them of touching me when I was young.

To me, talking bad about MJ is no different than talking bad about Jefferey Dahmer, Ed Gein, Al Capone, Jimmy Hoffa or Saddam Hussein. He was a bad guy.

There is a seperate thread for your kind. I suggest you go find it.

Yeh, I'd imagine with being such a pathetic character that would be the only way. Grow up, wheres your self esteem, in the gutter?

Ill side with you on the whole "Beatles Catalog" deal, but at the same time, as has been said before, it was never proven that he did it. I mean, last time I checked, we lived in the USA, who's court system says "All people are considered innocent until proven guilty" so umm..........wasn't he proven innocent? Him having been a pedophile is more heresay than anything else. Yes, many accusation were flung at the man, but again, none were proven, and in the end, the accuser's and their families ended up looking like douchebags really.

As for the bolded part, why so surprised? many people here grew up with his music and feel he was great at what he did, singing, songwriting, and dancing. But hey, thats just my opinion.

lol please tell me you are not really this naive.

When OJ dies are we not allowed to talk bad about him either since he was acquitted?

We have a winner! Can't believe the thread was split, people need to grow up and realize if a person was controversial in life hes going to be controversial in death.

Now i am usually the first one to act ignorant on a topic like this as i did in the joke thread a while back. I attacked Heath Ledger non stop after his death. After reading through this thread and discovering how ignorant some people on this forum are, i am kind of embarrassed myself.

I am no MJ fanatic. I am hardly a true fan, i do not own any hard copies of his albums.. But, I will not deny the incredible influence and talent this man had because people call him a pedophile.

Everything brought up against him in this thread is heresay.. I do not think he is some angel but i have no proof of anything. You have your right to believe what ya want, please do so. The only honest down side to him we can prove is he was a weird man.

This man could have been an axe murderer and his music still would be the last impression he left on me. I have ordered hard copies of each album now. It is a sad time for music as the art was already dying.

To thing Soldier Boy is the musician people look up to and want to be like now is an embarrassment.. RIP MJ.

Someone mentioned he was a money grubber, idk where you would think this considering the tons of charities he has worked and helped, not to mention the huge stand he took to fight for AIDS at a time where many people would look down upon it and act very ignorant towards the disease. He's helped people all across the world.

More importantly, although the majority isnt always right, most of the people around the world are grieving and remembering him for the many good things he did. There must be some reason for that, isnt there?

No I'm not naive, but not all of us see the glass as "half empty" in this world. Being an optimist doesnt necessarily mean you are also naive. Look at how many people have shown their support and yet some people choose to focus on the accusation, not so much the guilty verdict.

Someone used OJ as an example, well see we also don't know if he did it or not! Sure we crack jokes about OJ, but people also do it about MJ. Ive asked some of my co-workers who cracked those jokes, know what they said? They dont think he really did it, they just find the jokes funny!

He only escaped jail because he paid the family $20M to drop the case.

I got what I wanted, so I'm done with this thread.

I was keeping out of this thread, because it's basically a huge pissing contest... but I'm with you on this one.

I mean, seriously?

The part where he bought the beatles catalog out from under Paul so he could sell the rights to peddle goods when that is explicitly against the wishes of the people who wrote the music.

That is the part that gets me.

The thread got split. I think all you people who can't keep your tongue out of Michael Jacksons asshole should go post in the other thread. This one is for the haters.

I definitely agree with this point. I'm really dissapointed especially with what black music has become. What the hell happened to rap and R&B (although was never a R&B fan myself...at least they could be considered music)? Can anyone tell me? I feel like I'm some old fart reminiscing about the good old days of west and east coast rap and shit that was actually inspiring. Top 40 music in general has just become...ugh. I've reverted to listening to older music and less popular stuff that is actually...music.

A lot of shit these days seems to complete dismiss the notion that music is an art, which is very unfortunate. Thats prolly what I like about MJ the most - he was the whole package. He danced better than anyone else, brought a lot of energy with upbeat stuff and really practiced the art of music his own way.

/end rant
