Grand Theft Auto 4

Who cares? They were the same damn game. The only drawback were the backgrounds that never rendered right. Other than that 3-D scene looked better than the PSone.

Who cares? I think you're missing the point. They had horrendous sales and hardly anybody even knows they exist.

No, it is you who missed the point. Just because it had poor sales and not many people knew about it has no bareing on the conversation. Elemmire brought up how FF7 and FF8 were not on any other system and I gave the example of the PC versions which I in fact own. Whether or not I spoke the truth, anyone could just search the internet to see if there was a PC version or I was just lying my ass off. So not only am I proving a point I'm also helping those that didn't know it existed.

anyway, back on topic. Really diggin the new GTA info. One thing I hope they bring break is customizing the character like in San Andreas.

Actually I brought up how all FFs tended to be exclusives for the most part, just added FF7 and FF8 as examples since they were popular compared to others for PS though I forgot they had a PC counterpart :P So it wasn't just how FF7 and FF8 were exclusives. And they might as well be considered it as it really is true that so few even bought them or remember them :\ hell I forgot about em and I usually don't XD

Anyways, ya.. I'm a bit disappointed that they don't seem to wanna have joking stuff like flight packs or whatever.. and flying was fun. The whole fun of GTA was doing crazy stuff. Hopefully there'll be helicopters cause those are at least in cities.

You're still missing the point. It's so insignificant that it does not matter. I cannot make that sentence any less complicated, so please try to follow along.

then fucking drop it then. You can't decide if the games are unknown for the bad graphics or the horrible sales, hell maybe even both. We've moved on. let it go.
 
PC versions usually don't count in exclusivity agreements. Hell, everyone already owns one, you can't exactly compete your console against it. A PC is like a 'generic' console that anyone can make a game for. There's been some Mario PC games, although they're educational and made through 3rd party licenses.

I can't wait to have some fun online with GTA, I hope it'll have cross platform multiplayer option but I highly doubt it :|

post more info, expectations, etc for the next GTA installment (and a possibility of it being the last before EA ruins the series :( )
 
My store just set up an "olsen twins countdown" timer for GTA IV. Its pretty awesome knowing how many seconds until the midnight release for GTA :crazy:
 
Moved posts into old thread and moved it here. It was on the last page of the PS3 forums and i didn't look that far back before.
 
Too sketchy to even take as real. Obviously a PS3 litho and case (despite what the retards on youtube think), but he didn't show the game disc. I've been off work for a week so its very possible that there has been a new trailer that stores have that the public doesn't (it happens ALOT).

That could have very easily been a new preview off of a company pre order disc for GTIV or it just had GTAIV at the start of it.
 
I think it's Take Two who made that video and made it look like it was "early for someone" to get the hype up.
