Hachiman question

Just full time a SH... you get eva AND acc! XD rofl

In short, don't worry about it, people are arguing abotu a tiny ~1% - 3% increase one way or another on thier third or so of the damage they are dealing. No single piece of gear is going to make you suddenly do massive shittons of damage over the next guy.. As long as you keep in "range" of a decent settup, you'll be fine. Don't worry about the little shit. Some folks need excuses for why they spent 5 mil for a 1 increase on one stat... Don't sweat it. As long as you do your job right, your invites will still roll in, and you'll still get decent exp. If 10-20k/hour ain't good enough, then get over yourself. Because there's about 5,200 other reasons you won't hit those numbers and none of them will have to do with which body piece someone's wearing....

Couldn't you say a baseline of the following "best" gear for further comparison:

Row I:
Main: Hagun
Sub: Pole
Ranged: Null
Ammo: Sting

Row II:
Head: Ace's Helm
Neck: Justice Torque
Ear1: Brutal Earring
Ear2: Bushinomimi

Row III:
Body: _______
Hands: B.Kote
Ring1: Rajas Ring
Ring2: Divisor Ring

Row IV:
Back: Forager's Mantle
Waist: Speed Belt
Legs: Byakko's Haidate
Feet: Usukane Sune-Ate

Base Attack:
Str Base: 73
Dex Base: 68
Skill base: 304

2 Handed Attack = {( 8 + Combat Skill + 3STR/4 + (+attack from gear) + (+attack trait/ability/minuet)) * berserk effect (if available)} * (1+ percentage increase from food )

Str = 91
Dex = 88
Attack = 442
Accuracy = 380

Haubergeon +1:
Str = 97 +6%
Dex = 94 +6%
Attack = 458 +3.6%
Accuracy = 397 +4.5%

Shura:
Str = 91
Dex = 88
Attack = 462 +4.5%
Accuracy = 380 +2.6%

Askar:
Str = 96 +6%
Dex = 88
Attack = 454 2.7%
Accuracy = 380
Double Attack +2%
StoreTP = 5

IF: Double attack is almost a 2% gain in raw damage, and if 50% of the damage comes form weaponskills getting there 0.5% faster, the Store TP could offset the discrepancy betweeen the missng part of the DA from diminishing returns to a raw 2% gain.

On a Per Hit basis, the gain's from a Haub should be roughly ~8-9% from nothing overall. Translated, if you're hitting for 50 a swing you'll hit for ~55 ish. But the difference on a per hit basis between Shura and Askar is a 2% and 5% respectively. However in on a time based arguement, Askar gains the benefit of StoreTP and Double attack. So while it may suffer a 4% decrease in per hit damage, it recieves a decent (eyeballing the math on a sheet of paper) 3% increase in overall damage. However, it loses that advantage to the loss in accuracy, basically the only advantage gained is if you're close to cap on accuracy, like if you were in possession of a relic.

When you add in Bard songs and food, the differences between the three pretty much equalize. In an average party, when you add ~60 attack from a song, 75 or so from food, and some attack speed, those numbers above shift, instead of 15 attack being +3.4%, it's only +2.5%. And typical merit parties using 2handed weapons Accuracy becomes your limiting factor, you hit harder, and faster, but how often? Also when you incorperate Berserk, Attack Bonus job traits, and Warcry, those job abilities make these numbers even less worrysome.

When you think about it, you're arguing over peanuts. What's ~1% - 3% of 33%? because that's the difference in damage you will contribute to the group as a whole... Just keep a reasonable eye on the "Best" and just keep everything between you and the best "Acceptable", at the very least, just try to.
