Hard work finally paying off

Ah, the days when the job was considered weak because it wasn't an "advanced" job. Memmmmmorieeeeeeeeeeeees.

And because hitting once for 80 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> hitting twice for 45 amirite?

I remember when monk was considered weak. Except my friends were in the know so I didn't shun monks and thought they were pretty gewd :<

I got it because I'm not going to cry much over DEX+5, subtle blow +5, and store tp+5, whereas the sattva can help both my pld and nin in end-game tanking, which is what I'm most interested in.

Question deci, is everyone who leveled nin after you a bandwagoner? Cause that's what you're making it out to be.

Bandwagon Rules:

Everyone that jumped onto NIN or WAR and levelled it to 70+ within 8 months after the RNG nerf.

The over-exposure melee cannons got once RNG's weren't being invited anymore that people saw and changed jobs to be involved in are the bandwagoners for the most part.

Basically the only people exempt from being bandwagoners are people who:
- Started either NIN or WAR as their first job (ie. new players).
- People who have just started levelling the job in the past couple months.
- People who weren't playing back when RNG was nerfed.
- People who were in the process of levelling NIN or WAR as their main job before the RNG nerf.

And btw you get bandwagoner+1 status if you levelled NIN or WAR after the RNG nerf and call it your main job but don't put full effort into it.

Okay so everyone who... plays a job for fun is a bandwagoner. Awesome. I started leveling nin back when my pld wasn't even 75 as a sub and once I hit 37 I found it fun and continued leveling it, this was maybe 1-2 months tops after the rng nerf. I know there's a lot of bandwagoners and they suck at their job, but not everyone who isn't "exempt" (lol@your rules) is a bandwagoner. The people who played it solely to 75 because they want to meripo or be the "ultimate DD" are the bandwagoners. The people who played well and enjoyed their time 1-75 aren't bandwagoners. Honestly I can tank anything on pld just as well as nin and still get merits on pld. I leveled nin for fun and to increase my tanking versatility.

You need to get over yourself.

And didn't you level nin as your 3rd job and bandwagon rng back in the day? ...lol

The only part that sucks about this legendary thread is that the mods are gonna lock the topic or delete posts. :(

If the mods don't see the importance of the bandwagon of finding waldo, we have a grave situation here on this site.

Deci's a bandwagon rng because he leveled it after me.

He only did that because he couldn't live up to me on Blm. :P

Grats Neo, I've never really looked at the ring, as I am pure mage, but it is a very lovely ring. Use it well^^

Stouter and Alanon speak teh truth!

And Eulore I said people who call NIN their main job but don't put full effort into it are bandwagon +1, that doesn't include people who play it for fun, because a) don't you play all jobs "for fun" and b) usually the jobs you level just to fuck around and not use in end-game events (I think thats what u wanted to say) are not considered your main job.

And if you don't see the humour in my rules like everyone else, obviously they are applying to you or you wouldn't be so defensive lol...

No, I thought you were being serious so I just thought you were being a complete and utter dumbass. Leveling a job for fun isn't an excuse. lol

a) no, not everyone plays jobs for fun, see: most bards and bandwagoners.

b) I dunno know what you're trying to say here. I guess we confused each other. I play nin and pld about equally, obviously my pld is better geared because I've had it leveled longer, but I'm working on my nin now. I don't consider myself a pld main or nin main, I consider myself a tank main, and my merits and gear reflects that.

Edit: I'm being defensive because you've called me a bandwagoner before, which I would've leveled nin faster and wouldn't have the skills I have now if I was.

I'm a bandwagoner. Dragoon -> Bard .> Warrior

I don't think it gets more obvious then going from no invites to many lol

Am I bandwagon for levelling brd now? I just wanted to have one job in each of the three general categories (melee, mage, support). ; ;

But everyone who levelled drk after me is bandwagon, all three of you out there.

Hey I thought we are talking about NIN and WAR here =P

imo bandwagon bards are worse than bandwagon nins and wars. When I partied with kire he couldn't pull without getting owned or keep songs up. A lot of bards can't. At least bandwagon DDs know how to engage and (hopefully) use a WS macro with gear swaps. Doesn't stop me from outparsing them though ;\

The problem with most bards is that they get stuck in bad camps. Pulling for a stationairy cannon that is camped outside of aggro rarely leaves you enough time to pull and keep songs up. Most parties are too afraid to camp right in the middle of where the mobs spawn, and that's why your songs wear off.

And for the record, noob wars are much worse.
"I hit the mob".
"I hit the mob again".
"Tank just ate a shadow stripping move but I don't care, I'm hitting the mob".
"Brd just pulled 2 mobs and slept them next to me but I don't care, I'm still on this mob".
"I have TP rampage GO".
"that mob is dead, hitting the next mob".
"Other mob the bard pulled is awake and chasing him, but I don't care because I'm hitting this mob".
"Whm just pulled hate and is now taking a beating from curing that brd, I'm almost to 100 TP!".
etc

Yeah that shit pisses me off, but I've had some bards that weren't even pulling and couldn't keep songs up, or just played the wrong songs even after being repeatedly asked to play different ones (jp bard playing 2x paeons, bard playing madrigal while fighting low VTs, etc.), a DD being weak is easily made up for with other DDs being powerful, but nothing can make up for a shitty bard besides a replacement =\

Oh yeah that made me think of when I made fun of this one warrior, "You know, warrior's get this really neat ability. It's called provoke. I hear that it keeps the bard from getting raped when we're already fighting a mob."

Still didn't get the point -.-
