Have the times really changed this much?

Yes.

Because.

Amnesia.

Is.

Never.

Used.

Fighting.

Imps.

Even aside that, fighting /nin full timing hasso is better than keeping /war and having to keep seigan up almost full time. I dont exactly have the liberty to spam JA's while fighting in mire.

Because you always have amnesia in effect don't you.
Because it's not possible to sub ninja and use Seigan is it?

Yea... i also /nin all the way to 75 once i hit 50 because with soboro i was just pulling too much hate and the benefits of hasso with uts outweigh /war using seigan. In fact i think i may have been the one who suggested it to eor :bb:

However now that i am 75 and use hagun instead of soboro... i do /war from time to time but mainly in parties that are killing fast enough that it doesnt matter anyways. And when in those parties i still dont use seigan unless shit really hits the fan.

Yea, fighting imps i do have amnesia active 85%+ of the time. Yes, i do use seigan when i sub nin. Ichi over writes the blink, so it makes it really easy to alternate. My focus is still keeping hasso up with shadows and keeping my dmg taken to a minimum. If i was a gimp with horrid gear i'd sub war sure and use the occasional seigan, but i'm not, so i try to play it smart. thnx

had this been half way through a zone and he relised he had no snk/invis (it happens as irratating as it is) then yes fair enough you should go get him but at the staging point..... fuck off go back and go get oils/powders and stop being an arse becuse you know damn well your playing a job heavily in demand!!!
as he liked to teach people text commands like "/ma sneak <t>" here's another one /blacklist add

I am surprised, again at the lengths people have to go to, to make a simple idea understood. I'll break it down for you since you continually go off topic with comments that have little to no bearing on the issue.

Subbing Ninja isn't used for any offensive abilities as a Samurai. You may get a small boost in Dex, and other than that, it is entirely for the damage mitigation. If you aren't willing to use a damage mitigation tool that is part of your job's abilities, then you aren't doing the job correctly.

can silena me or i can not bother and take dmg, which drains a fuckin lot more mp than a silena.

I think it is really rather clear here, which was my whole first point, that you're going to be scumbag number one, and stand there to take damage. At no point do you mention you're not able to use third eye. Just that you are going to stand there and get hit. Deliberately. How exactly is that useful?

Bringing Warrior subjob into the discussion. Relevance? None, Seigan is used for damage mitigation, whatever your subjob. Again, not using Seigan and Third eye, is a sign of a bad Samurai. The reuse timers on Hasso and Seigan are such that you can switch between the 2 extremely quickly, just to shorten the recast on Third eye, at which time you can reactivate Hasso. This takes around 2 seconds, if not less to do.Trying to excuse the absence of its use by bringing /war into the equation is frankly weak.

I dont even know who you are, but you can get off your high horse. I've already stated that i use seigan and third eye, i've also stated that it's not exactly feasable to "switch between the 2 extremely quickly" You can ask anyone that i've pt'd with or even know on ff, calling me a scumbag shows just how much you know about me. NOTHING. If it came off like me being an ass for saying i'd take dmg, it's because i have no OPTION, how can i use seigan and third eye with amnesia up? really? is there a sam secret i'm unaware of? Please fill me in if so~

I personally dont believe i'm bad at any of my jobs, maybe i'm wrong but thats my opinion and i do everything in my power/knowledge to max my potential in gaining exp not only for myself but for the entire party. Pretty sure there's only one guy on here who truely hates me and i think i was guilty by association in the path of that hatred, but we wont get into that barrel. lol

You can just stop talking to me, i dont know if you think you're better souly because you're a 75 sam and i'm not. Or, if it's because you misunderstood me in my job playing and decided to try to get some rate ups, i'm not impressed either way.

That's funny. Where did I say I was 75 anything? Where did I mention my jobs?

(Go ahead and point to my signature if you like, there's nothing in there that is SAM-specific either).

You made an ignorant post on the flameboard, and I decided to put my opinion of the matter on it. All of my comments are based on your initial, and to an extent subsequent posts here. I don't know you, and I don't care to either. Knowing someone has no bearing on the content of their posts.

I'll rant a bit about my sj too, since i can't edit my previous post sorry for doubling. I don't give a fuck what offensive attributes /nin gives to sam. I'm over powered enough as it is and need it for survivability, pulling hate 99% of the time and tanking long-term fights would just get me killed without /nin or sponge so much mp we'd never be able to chain. I'd rather suck it up do my dmg tank and get consistant chain 6-10's in the latter 60 lvl's, which is damn good i think.

An ignorant post? I see... bet you didn't know i've known false for a long time, and was contributing my opinion to the OP, simply stating i do what i can and when i can't do anything else it's better to cast a single spell than to sponge up a healers mp pool, you can react to me however you like, but dont think i'm going to sit back and be like "oh oh, this guy i've never even heard of thinks i'm ignorant" lol

There's also no secret to removing amnesia, if you actually wanted to, you could easily use an Ecphoria ring. 100 charges, 5 minute reuse. If you're going to rely on job abilities of any kind, and yes this includes Weapon skills, it's not a bad idea to have one if you intend to fight amnesia-spamming mobs for any lenght of time.

It's not an ideal scenario either way, so please don't go misconstruing this, deliberately or otherwise. The option is simply there if you wanted it to be.

You don't seem to get it, do you? I don't care who you do or don't know. Find something else to say.

Yea, i bought one of those and if i had realised it was a 5min recharge i probably would have never bother'd lol, i really dont have the spare inventory to fill up with 5 or 6 of those rings to use them efficiantly.

No see i do get it, i've gotten it from the beginning. It's called retaliation, i dont see my post as being ignorant, so i retorted.

My general rule is that these are things people should take care of for themselves. Most DD have access to Tonko and Monomi at that level and a stack of tools lasts a while. If someone asks me nicely and usually in advance for a quick sneak/invis to get to camp I don't mind but I mostly stick to merits with people I know and I'm ALOT nicer to people I know so...

Yes I did. Which would bring me to the part where I asked why people brought /war into it.

Why did /war get brought into this?

Seigan and Third eye are Samurai job abilities. It makes no difference what sub you are using as to your ability to utilise them. If you're trying to not get hit, which was the goal in /nin rather obviously, then the same goal is being accomplished by using Seigan and Third eye. As mentioned, and now I will have to explain again, using "Seigan > Third eye > Hasso" will gain you the benefit of a reduced recast on Third eye, without the loss of the benefits of Hasso, since that takes 1~2 seconds at worst.

There are times when you will be unable to use it, as has been pointed out on imp type mobs. Was this stated in the original post I started commenting on? No. Are imps the only mob you can fight that silence? No.

My exception to the post, in case you still don't understand, was that simply standing there to take hits as some kind of retaliation, as was implied, would be a rather scumbag thing to do. Ceteris paribus, if you have the option to use Seigan and Third eye but don't, well, you get the picture... I hope.

I'm glad this thread is staying on topic lol. But who am I to complain, 8 pages is pretty good.

To stay on topic, 2 stubborn people butting heads as someone else put it. Is it really that big of a deal to snk/invis someone with a free spell rather than cost them IS and gil?

Question I really wanna know is, would you have rethought the decision to leave if he had mentioned not having enough IS to get back?
